cational Services’ colloquium “Open Doors to Learning with Assistive Technology.”

youth, and adults who have visual impairments or learning disabilities. Presenters Vicky
McGinley, Ph.D., Department of Special Education, West Chester University, and David
Cattell, Assistive Technology Specialist, Chester County Intermediate Unit, joined by rep-
resentatives from Intel® Technologies, will help participants gain a better understanding
of assistive technology resources. They will discuss the role of assistive technology in
learning at home and in the classroom, and language used in student IEPs in relation to
assistive technology. Participants will receive a copy of “A Parent’s Guide to Assistive
Technology” and will have the opportunity to test the Intel® Reader.
