I) Installing

1. Photoshop CC2015, CC2017+

• Goto http://zxpinstaller.com/, download ZXPinstaller for Win or Mac and follow the

CC2014 and currently there’s no official way to install extensions for new Photoshops.
ZXPinstaller uses the same executable that Extension Manager used but also works for
CC2015 and CC2017

2. Photoshop CC, CC2014

• Find Adobe Extension Manager:

On Windows:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Extension Manager CC\ (or CS6)

/Applications/Adobe Extension Manager CC/ (or CS6)

• or download it from http://www.adobe.com/exchange/em_download/

Install FAQ
Q) I’m trying to install Brusherator with Extension Manager but I’m getting the message
‘Failed to install. Please make sure the manifest of this extension is valid blabla’

A) Please make sure you have your version of Photoshop selected under the Products
section of EM. If you don’t see your PS there it’s probably because you’re using CC2015/CC2017
and Adobe discontinued the use of EM for CC2015/CC2017. There’s no official alternative for
CC2015/CC2017 so you can try 3rd party options (ZXPInstaller) or go with manual installation.

Q) I’m trying to install Brusherator manually but upon launch I’m getting the error ‘The
Brusherator extension could not be loaded because it was not properly signed’

A) When you unzip the .zip for manual installation it’s crucial that all the files wouldn’t be
altered in any way and all the hidden files would land in destination folder. If you don’t copy some
of the files you’ll get ‘not properly signed’ error.
