 The calibration factor is a value that the reading has to
be multiplied with in order to get the corresponding
ground-truth reference. This value is the actual size we
see on the organism. This value decreases as the
magnification increases because the higher the
magnification, the closer we are to the actual size of the
organism/ specimen (Etares, 2018).
