Dear writers,

You are being sent on a special mission to write all about the Industrial Revolution! Your newspaper
must include what the Industrial revolution was, causes that led up to it, the event, and effects of it.
Include the textile industry, assembly lines, labor unions, etc. In addition your newspaper must also
include a personal narrative from a mill girl/ industrial worker. What effect did the Industrial Revolution
have on the development of the Americas. Incorporate images, graphics, charts, maps etc. to inform the
reader all about the Industrial Revolution in a fun and engaging way. You may work with one
additional writer (not necessary, choose carefully if you select this option) Make your article
engaging. Fun. Visually appealing. Pretend your reader knows nothing about the Industrial
Revolution. Organize your ideas into YOUR own words and make sure you are quoting your
information. Have fun.
Timeline: Please use pages 65-66 in your notebook; you will have class time to work all week to
do research and complete your newspaper. Papers will be presented on Friday.
All newspapers will be turned in physically- if you do it digitally you need to print it out.
