The above Karnataka Aerospace Policy shall come into effect from

Karnataka Aerospace Policy 2012-2022
1 Vision
To position Karnataka as a vibrant aerospace hub of Asia and a
globally recognised aerospace destination by creating enabling
environment for holistic and sustained growth of the Aerospace
Sector.

The scope of policy includes both ‘Aerospace Industry’ and
‘Aerospace Infrastructure’.
5 Strategies
5.1 Creation of aerospace eco-system
The defence airport at Bidar & Karwar will be opened for civil
aircrafts. Additionally, the State plans to develop airstrips and
helipads at all district headquarters and important industrial
destinations which do not have air connectivity. Air Strips will be
constructed at Davanagere, Chickmagalur, Udupi, Madikeri,
Gokarna, Chitradurga, Bagalkot, Haveri, Gadag and Kollegal.
6.9 Facilitation
Appendix-1
Anchor unit subsidy of Rs.500 lakhs shall be offered to the first two
Aerospace OEM enterprises with minimum investment of
Rs. 50 crore and direct employment of 100 persons established in
each taluk of the State excluding Bangalore Urban, Bangalore Rural
and Ramanagar districts. In addition to fiscal support, land for
such anchor projects will be allotted by KIADB at concessional rates.
Interest free loan @ 50% of eligible Gross VAT for new large and
mega manufacturing enterprises in Aerospace Sector for seven
years, to be repaid in seven years thereafter in equal annual
instalments excluding Bangalore (Urban) and Bangalore (Rural)
districts and Municipal Corporation Limits of Mangalore, Mysore,
Hubli-Dharwad and Belgaum.
However all Aerospace Parks in the state are eligible for this
incentive.

9 Fixed Asset: Fixed assets shall mean the total investment made on
land, building and plant and machinery and such other productive
assets like tools, jigs, and fixtures, dies, utilities like boilers,
compressors, diesel generating sets, cranes, material handling
equipments and such other equipments directly related to
production purposes.
h) The incentives and concessions under this policy will come into
force from …………………. However, industrial Enterprises
which have already been sanctioned incentives and concessions
under the earlier package/ Government Order shall continue to
enjoy those benefits as per the sanction order already issued.
Industrial Enterprises which are in the process of being
established at the time of announcement of this Industrial
Policy, shall have an option of availing incentives and
concessions under the 2009-12 policy provided, loan is
sanctioned by the financial institution prior to ………….. and
subject to fulfillment of following conditions:
