ANALYSING ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVES

LEARNING OUTCOME:

Student able to apply understanding of wave properties to make sense of how electromagnetic radiation can be apply to investigate
nature , detect diseases , treatment , transfer information and store information.

SUCCESS CRITERIA

Student can:

1)Explain main types of electromagnetic waves.

2)Classified the electromagnetic spectrum according to their wavelengths and frequency.

3) Organize the information of the characteristic of EM , sources of EM and the application in our everyday life and the harmful
effect of the radiation.

INSTRUCTION

1) Student form 7 groups and choose ONE electromagnetic spectrum.

2) 2 students from your group do research on the spectrum and focus on :
i) Source
ii) Application
iii) Harmful Effect
iv) Extra knowledge
3) Another 2 students prepare and gather the idea and write on the board.
4) You are allowed to use any sources – reference books, handouts , website , picture and articles.
5) You will present in the form of gallery walk.
6) Another group will rate and comment your group work.
