to pay. Therefore, a projects of low traffic density
and willingness to pay will have less number of
interested private parties and so prequalification
limits will be lower and vice versa.
The inferences drawn from this study could be
further validated with larger samples of other
developing countries. This would help to overcome
the limitations of sample being small and help
to increase the accuracy of the findings. Future
research could also be undertaken by including
some of the ignored variables such as influence of
unit cost of the project, per capita income of the
state, and package size (i.e. length of the project)
on the prequalification limits of the highway
projects.
