Software/Hardware Update

CAUTION!
Read carefully before installing the software
Note:
The following information is divided into two parts. The first part deals with the Software Update and the
second part treats Hardware Update.
The Software Update is subdivided into versions, for example if there is a very old version (e.g. 1.19)
installed on the analyzer then all the points must be observed as outlined in the: "Installing on versions
antecedent to 2.16" and the "Installing on versions antecedent to 2.21, and etc.". Otherwise start with the
version present on the analyzer.

Installation on versions antecedent to 8.3

Prior to updating the software, archive all reports (if there are any) in real time and then
execute the Quality Controls module (External Programs menu).

Installation on version antecedent to 7.1

1. Execute the function "Lamp Setup".

2. Reload ALL the language files from the installation disk
Installation on version antecedent to 5.2

3. Execute again the "Volume Calibration" (note the bottle request is 10 ml and not 20
ml).
4. Change the analises with method Sample Blank B in Sample Blank B-b.
5. Reload ALL the language files from the installation disk
6. De-check and, than, check again all time standards and time controls
Installation on version antecedent to 5.0/Beta 4

Prior to launch controls go into “Global Insert/View Patients” (Menù Patients->Insert

Routine/STAT), hit Control button and delete the list - if present.

Installation on version antecedent to 4.0

Prior to updating the software send all data (if there are any) to host computer or execute the
function ‘Delete result to be sent’

Installation on versions antecedent to 2.16

Prior to updating the software, archive all reports (if there are any) in real time and then
execute the Patient Archive module (External Programs menu). The Patient Archive module
must always be executed even if there are no real time reports in the analyzer.

Installation on versions antecedent to 2.21

After updating the software perform calibration of volumes

 Hardware Update
Substitution of arms with new arms incorporating encoder

· Both the arms must be substituted with new arms.

· The new software will be installed after the substitution of both the arms.
· At power on, during the process of loading the operating system, keep
simultaneously pressed the keys Ctrl, Alt, and Shift on the left side of the keyboard.
· After loading the operating system, the system will prompt the operator if the
primary calibration of the arms encoder is desired. Respond affirmatively (Yes) to
the prompt.
· Position both the arms in the home position above the appropriate washing funnels
(as requested by the displayed message) and press the key in the message
window.
· After the resetting of analyzer, perform mechanical calibration of all the positions of
the sampling arm.

Note:
The new arms cannot be installed on the analyzers with software versions previous
to version 2.16
