d. Activity Description
Divide the group into teams of at least three and make up a team name.
Distribute a large sheet of paper(or whiteboards) and a pen(or markers) to each
team. Decide which team goes first.
On a team’s turn, they choose one person on their team to draw. The judge
prepares a one-minute timer (or stopwatch) and gives the player a card. The judge
says “Go!” and starts the timer. The player begins to draw a picture of the
word(s). The goal is for the rest of the players on his/her team to correctly guess
the word (or basic idea of the word) within the allotted time limit. If the team
guesses the word correctly, they receive a point. Then it’s the next team’s turn.
The objective of the game is to have the most points on the team.

e. Primary interaction pattern(s) (activity analysis)

The primary interaction patterns of this activity are nonverbal communication
through physical body movements and social interaction in an intragroup that requires
cooperation to achieve a mutual goal within each team.
f. Adaptation:
The adaptation made of this activity is for the population with aphasia. Due to the
difficulty in expressing and understanding language, many adaptations in the activity
were made. During the allotted time limit to correctly guess the word, the player with
aphasia can be allowed to write their guesses down and be given a head start of 30
seconds beforehand. The player should be allowed to guess first before other players
while everyone else should be limited to one guess and guesses after the player has
made his/her first guess. Other adaptations can be giving the player the first letter of
the target word and the number of letters in the word. If having more difficulty, the
leader of the activity can show the category or properties of the target word to that
player during the guessing.
