1 Setting of TP48200A Alarm system
1.1 Panel SMU02
To enter the panel SMU02, user: admin, password: 000001
Set the Comm Para to 3.

2 Trouble shooting of Alarm
2.1 Sensor of temperature of the battery
Test way:
Heat the sensor with a dryer until 70 degree, the alarm threshold is 65 degree, wait around 5 minutes, it will
report alarm in the power cabinet panel and BTS (BTSM).
If not report the alarm:
Check if the sensor cable is good, and installation position is in the BATTEMP
If the installation is ok, change the sensor with the cabinet temperature sensor, and test, if the alarm
reports, the problem should be the sensor damages or cable broken. In this case, need replace the sensor
with a good one.
If after changing the sensor with cabinet temperature sensor, and the alarm does not appear, this can
be the alarm ports(BATTEMP) damage issue, or site configuration issue, need to call Huawei to check the
configuration was done or not. If Huawei confirmed that the configuration is correct, then it should be a
hardware faulty issue, the cabinet or alarm panel need to be replaced.
2.2 Sensor of temperature for the FAN
Test way:
Heat the sensor with a dryer until 70 degree, the alarm threshold is 65 degree, wait around 5 minutes, it will
report alarm in the panel with a alarm of high temperature and turn on the FAN, but will not report an alarm in
the BTS (BTSM), because this sensor is only used to turn on the FAN. Another sensor (TEMP_HUM) is used
to measure the cabinet temperature and report an alarm in the BTSM in case of high temperature.
Check if the sensor cable is good, and installation position is in the TEMP1.
If the installation is ok, change the sensor with the battery temperature sensor, and test, if the alarm
reports, the problem should be the sensor damages or cable broken. In this case, need replace the sensor
with a good one.
If after changing the sensor with battery temperature sensor, and the alarm does not appear, this can
be the alarm ports(TEMP1) damage issue, or site configuration issue, need to call Huawei to check the
configuration was done or not. If Huawei confirms that the configuration is correct, then it should be a
hardware faulty issue, the cabinet or alarm panel need to be replaced.
2.3 Sensor of Humidity/Cabinet temperature
Test way:
Heat the sensor with a dryer until 60 degree, wait around 3 minutes, it will report alarm in the power cabinet
panel and BTS (BTSM).
Check if the sensor cable is good, and installation position is in the TEMHUM.
If the installation is ok, make short-circuit of connector pin1 and 2 or 3 and 4 in the alarm panel, check if
the alarm report or not. If yes, it means the panel is ok, the problem is the sensor itself, need to replace the
sensor. If not,
use a tester to check the voltage between pin 1 and 2, 3 and 4, if they are 12V, if no, the UIM or the
back plane bus has problem, need to replace. If yes, call Huawei to check the configuration was done or not.
If Huawei confirms that the configuration is correct, then it should be a cabinet faulty issue, the cabinet
or alarm panel need to be replaced
2.4 Sensor of smoke
Test way:
Test the sensor with a cigarette, wait around 300 seconds, it will report alarm in the power cabinet panel and
BTS (BTSM).
Check if the sensor cable is good, and installation position is in the Smoke.
If the installation is ok, make short-circuit of connector pin1 and 2 in the alarm panel, check if the alarm
report or not. If yes, it means the panel is ok, the problem is the sensor itself, need to replace the sensor. If
not, call Huawei to check the configuration was done or not. If Huawei confirms that the configuration is
correct, then it should be sensor faulty, sensor need to be replaced.
2.5 Sensor of water
Test way:
Test the sensor with water, wait around 300 seconds, it will report alarm in the power cabinet panel and BTS
(BTSM).
Check if the sensor cable is good, and installation position is in the Water.
If the installation is ok, make short-circuit of connector pin2 and 3 in the alarm panel, check if the alarm
report or not. If yes, it means the panel is ok, the problem is the sensor itself, need to replace the sensor. If
not, call Huawei to check the configuration was done or not. If Huawei confirms that the configuration is
correct, then it should be sensor faulty, sensor need to be replaced.
2.6 FAN faulty (ALM8)
Test way:
Disconnect the connector of Fan in the panel, to make that the FAN1 and FAN2 is not in position, in the
BTSM it will generate an alarm in the BBU port 7, slot 19, and also an alarm in the panel of FAN faulty. This
alarm is reported as a dry contact alarm in the ALM8 port.
If not report the alarm of FAN faulty:

Take out of the two wires in the ALM8, make short-circuit of connector pin1 and 2 in the alarm panel,
check if the alarm report or not in the BTSM. If yes, it means the configuration in the BTS is ok, the problem
is in the cabinet itself, need to replace the power cabinet. If no, call Huawei engineer to confirm if the
configuration was done or not.
Note: don't disconnect or connect the power cable of the FAN1 or FAN2 when the FAN is still rotating,
otherwise it will damage the UIM board.
