IV. Pre-Observation:
a. The stereotypical public-school classroom has the teacher’s desk either in front or
behind the student’s desks. The student’s desks are in rows all facing front toward

b. When the students enter the classroom, they come in slowly and head across the
room to get breakfast. Then they sit down in assigned seats. When a student needs
a pencil sharpened or paper they are located against the wall by one of the
teacher’s desks. The two desks, one for each teacher, are placed on the same wall.
One is at one end and the other at the opposite end. The noise level is high before

a. Students come in and must cross the room for breakfast since breakfast is set up
b. Materials are behind the teacher’s desk (the left one) on the window sill. Students
close. All student’s desks are facing the smart board and all students can see it
clearly.
d. The students get loud in between subjects and before school. They are very
talkative.
VII. Recommendations:
moved to two empty desks closer to the door. This would stop students from
crossing the room before sitting down. It would also clear up the space between
the teachers and it would be easier for students to talk to the teachers one on one
in the morning.

seems to work well with this class since the teachers, when sitting at their desks,
are still close to the students. From personal experience I remember teachers
being far away and distant when they were at their desk. It was almost like the
