Brick

Bricks are walling unit made of burnt clay or

shale, sand or flint and lime (calcium silicate)
or of concrete moulded in various way to form
block of suitable and defined dimensions.

Brick is used primarily in the construction of

walls by the bedding ans jointing of bricks into
established bonding arrangements.

 Solid Wall Construction

Brick may be arranged in a wide variety of

ways to produce a satisfactory bond and each
stretcher on the face of the wall.

The two bond most commonly used for walls

one brick and over in thickness are known as
‘English Bond’ and ‘Flemish Bond’.
