To obtain a license key, choose one of the following options:

HP StorageWorks • Fax the Password Request Form that came with your License
Entitlement Certificate. (Fax numbers in your area are shown on the
certificate.) When you receive the license key, skip to step 9 below.
Enterprise Virtual Array license • Call or e-mail the HP Password Center. (For telephone numbers

and e-mail addresses in your area, see the License Entitlement
Certificate). When you receive the license key, skip to step 9 below.
• Obtain a license key from HP Webware online.
For more detailed information on licenses, see the HP StorageWorks
Replication Solutions Manager installation guide.
Complete the following procedure to install a license key (also referred
to as a password) from HP Webware for each product purchased:
1. Go to http://webware.hp.com and click Generate New licenses
under Welcome.
2. Obtain the HP order number from your License Entitlement
Certificate, enter it in Order number, and then click Next.
Based on information obtained from the order, a list of available
products appears on the Product selection page.
3. Select the product for which you want a key (your operating
environment under Product version), and then click Next.
4. On the Order product(s) detail page, enter the world wide names
(WWNs) for the array in WWN for the appropriate products, and
then click Next.
To view the WWN in HP Replication Solutions Manager, select
Storage Systems > View Properties. To view the WWN in HP
Command View EVA, select the General tab.
The WWN format is xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx (19 alphanumeric
characters, including hyphens).
5. Enter your information on the Member sign-in page as follows:
• If you registered previously, enter your e-mail address and
password in Existing members, and then click Sign-in.
• If you did not register previously, enter your e-mail address,
create a password, and then re-enter your password in First
time users. Click Sign-in. The Address information page opens.

6. Complete the requested information if necessary.

The License Certificate will also be e-mailed to you and the
registered owner if you request it.
8. Click Next. The License certificate page opens.
9. To complete the installation, perform one the following:
• For RSM, DC-Management, and Oracle licenses, follow steps
10 through 15.
• For HP Command View EVA, HP Business Copy EVA, and HP
Continuous Access EVA licenses, follow steps 16 through 21.
• To enter licenses using the license import tool in HP Command
View EVA, follow steps 22 through 26.
10. Save the license key file (.txt or .dat) by clicking the Save
license key/password file for [product number] link at the end of
the certificate.
11. Browse to HP Replication Solutions Manager and then select Tools
> Configure > Licensing (in the left pane) > Add (button at lower
right).
12. Next to License File, click Browse, and then browse to the location
of the .txt or .dat file.

13. In the Select a registered product drop-down list, select Dynamic
Capacity Management, and then click OK.

14. In the Configuration window, click OK.
15. To verify that the license has been added:
a. Perform a global refresh by clicking the refresh icon under Tools
and then click Close in the Global Refresh Monitor window.
b. Select Storage Systems and then select the correct array.
c. Select Actions > View Properties > Licenses to view the license.
This completes the procedure for installing RSM, DC-Management,
and Oracle licenses.
16. Copy the license key as instructed in the License Certificate.
17. Launch HP Command View EVA and select the appropriate array
under Storage Systems.
18. Click the Licensing tab on the Storage System Properties page.
19. Click Install Licenses.
20. Paste the license key in the form provided. For multiple licenses,
separate each license key with a carriage return.
21. Click Install Licenses.
This completes the procedure for installing HP Command View
EVA, HP Business Copy EVA, and HP Continuous Access licenses.
22. Save the license key file (.txt or .dat) by clicking the Save
license key/password file for [product number] link at the end of
the certificate.
23. On the HP Command View EVA main page, click Server Options
(upper-right, white lettering in the blue banner).
24. On the Management Server Options page, click Import/Export
Licenses.
25. Browse to the location of the saved license file.
26. On the Import/Export Licenses page, click Import Licenses.
This completes the procedure for entering licenses using the license
import tool in HP Command View EVA.
