Abstract—In this paper we present the design of a microstrip

circular patch antenna, which has a concentric diamond shaped
slot, side lengths and angles of the diamond-shaped slot are
optimized in order to obtain results at multiple frequencies, in
this case at 2.5 Ghz and 4.5 Ghz, apply it in space communication
system in the S-band and C-band, used to simulate the Ansoft
Designer software, for the implementation and testing we used
glass epoxy Fr-4 substrate. The antenna offers a bandwidth of 5
percent, a value that is above the bandwidth usually offer patch
antennas that are 1 percent and 2 percent respectively

I. INTRODUCTION
Fig. 1. View of circular patch geometry with concentric diamond slot
THE proposed antenna is oriented to work in the
communications system of the S-band and C-band, specifically
in satellite and wireless communications, why it is designed
for a frequency of 2.5 Ghz and 4.5 Ghz.

Researchers have been carrying out tests, to improve the

functionality of the circular patch antennas, with the inclusion
of grooves concentric geometries as diamond, triangular, L,
U, square, having the particularity that to be integrated as a
slot in the patch antenna improved band width is obtained,
and most importantly the ability to work at two or more
frequencies.

The dimensions of the lengths and the angle of the slot

dia-mond is optimized to achieve the desired reach and
proposed for this design results.
