This study examined the experiences of Grade 12 EIM-A Senior High School

students who were engaged in the work immersion. It can also help the students to be

Grade 12 students of Senior High School Department of Palo National High School under

the EIM-A Strand. The gender and age of the participants was not considered.

Unstructured Interview was done to get the needed data from the said participants. The

prepare them to make decision on employment and to make them ready in the real world.

DepEd Secretary Leonor Briones said the work immersion is a key feature in

the Senior High School curriculum. That can conducted in different ways depending on

the purposes and needs of the learns. These guidelines where formulated based on rich

experiences of modeling schools, tech-voc schools, partnership focal persons, industry

partners and youth development advocates. These guidelines can provide process

support to field of the DepEd to encourage relationships and strengthening partnerships

so that learners will have access to suitable work immersion venues and other related

resources.

The DepEd order No. 30 series of 2017 released the guidelines specify that the

CHAPTER III
Methodology

This chapter outlined the methods and procedures of the study. This chapter also

refer to the design for data collection and data analysis.

Research design

This is a qualitative study which employed a phenomenological research design

using naturalistic approach to gather relevant data.. The naturalistic approach concerns

itself with understanding and interpreting meanings that the participants provided. The

said research design aim to understand and interpret the meaning and emotions that

underlie everyday action of people who were affected and how it affect them especially

the experience provided.

Research Locale

the locale in Cavite West Palo, Leyte first it fits in realization of it’s objectives. Second, it

will be the a great advantage for the researcher in conducting the study for it is rheir

own school of academic learning. Third to limit the size of population of respondents

thus, making it the best in interpreting data. Lastly, the success of the study will be

beneficial not only for the researcher but for the student and the community as a

whole.
10

Research Respondent

The respondent of this study will be the students under Technical-Vocational strand

specifically Electrical Installation and Maintenance students of Palo National High School

(PNHS), Palo, Leyte. The researcher selected two students to be the participants of the

study. The said student was selected using purposive sampling.

Research Data Gathering Procedure

The researcher will gather a interview to the EIM- A students of Palo National

High School about their lived experiences in work immersion

The researcher will give a survey questioners to the respondent of EIM -A

student of Palo National High School that accommodate 10 questions about his/her lived
