Pedagogy as a Process - Instructional Objective

This Unit seeks to outline the instructional objectives of the sample Unit entitled - Who am I?

Stages of Development. Instructional or learning objectives are brief statements that describe

what students will be expected to learn by the end of the academic year, course, unit, lesson,

project, or class period. Learning objectives set the foundation upon which unit and lesson

plans can be built. It highlights exactly what the students are expected to learn upon

completion of the unit or lesson.

On completion of this exercise students will be able to:

 Explain each stage of personal development and the age range at which each stage

occurs. Cognitive

 Explain the term adolescence. Cognitive

 Identify the physical changes that occur at the adolescent stage. Psychomotor

 Identify the emotional changes that occur during the adolescent stage. Cognitive

 Express the changes they are experiencing on a physical and emotional level during their

adolescent stage of development. Affective

 The issue of emotional changes will be fully understood and a greater appreciation of

coping mechanisms will be understood. Affective

 Stick pictures on a chart that correspond to the changes that occur to both males and

females during the period of adolescence. Psychomotor
