The charts below show the percentage of people aged 23-65 in different occupations in one
UK town (Asbhy) and in the UK as a whole in 2008.
Summarize the information by selecting an reporting the main features, and make
comparisons where relevant

The provided pie charts shed light on the employment status of the 23-65 age group in
Ashby compared with that in the UK in 2008. Overall, the total national percentage of
employed people in this population was somewhat higher than that in the town of Ashby.
First, considering unemployed people in this age group, Ashby's rate was slightly higher
than the UK average. The former was 14% but the latter was 10%.
As for people in this age range who had jobs, the most and least significant proportions in
Ashby also differed from the national figures. Personal services accounted for 21% (the
highest) in Ashby as opposed to 17% (the second highest) in the UK, while office work
made up 19% (the biggest) in the latter versus 18% (the second biggest) in the former.
Similarly, the lowest percentage in Ashby was 8% (professional work) as opposed to
14% (the third lowest) nationally, whereas the smallest proportion in the UK was 10%
(construction work) but this type of occupation was 16% (the fourth smallest) in Ashby.
