EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A company’s success often depends on its employee’s performance. Performance appraisal of


employees needs to be conducted regularly in order to improve quality of work. Appropriately
performance appraisal can lead to employee satisfaction and increase in work performance. For
every organization it is important to have a right person at right job. We conducted a survey on
performance appraisal by sending out 50 questionnaires to the employees of Evolet Technologies.
The survey was done in order to obtain information about existing appraisal in the company, the
criteria being used in the appraisal system to evaluate employee’s performance, level of job
satisfaction, training system and feedback methods. And to get a better idea what kind of appraisal
system would be suitable for Evolet Technologies. Certain hypothesis were set and data analysis
was performed by the data collected from the survey. The data analysis helped us to determine the
factors which truly affect and is important to improve employee satisfaction on performance
appraisal.

A performance appraisal, employee appraisal, performance review, or career development


discussion is a method by which the job performance of an employee is evaluated. A performance
appraisal is a part of guiding and managing career development. It is the process of obtaining,
analyzing and recording information about the relative worth of an employee to the organization.

The aims of performance appraisal:

 Give an employee feedback on performance


 Identify employee training needs
 Document criteria used to allocate organizational rewards
