(Ми-171 Каталог деталей и сборочных единиц.)
INTRODUCTION
A. The parts catalog is intended for drawing up the orders for replacement of worn out or
failed parts for Mi-171 helicopter by Engineering stuff of Operators.
B. The catalog is to be used during maintenance and repair of helicopter, as well as for
training, as an illustrated document, defining the helicopter structure and its assemblies.
2 Catalog structure
A. The catalog is made as an illustrated list, consisted of illustrations and list of parts shown
on the illustrations.
(1) all parts, attached by means other than welding and riveting (removable units,
assemblies, parts);
(2) normally replaceable welded and riveted parts;
(3) welded and riveted parts given to readily illustrate the structure and attachments of
the other units, assemblies, parts.
C. All listed catalog information is broken down into four levels – Group, Chapter
(system), Section (subsystem), Subject (unit).
(2) Catalog breakout into Chapters (systems), Sections (subsystems) is made using
standard numbering of the given elements. List of the catalog chapters is shown in

(а) Catalog structure
(3) To make the work with catalog more convenient, all information is grouped into
books. The scheme of the catalog breakout into books, books’ parts (files),
Chapters, Sections and Subsections is given in General Information, Section
“Catalog structure”.
(4) The following information is represented at the beginning of each book except
Book 1, “General information”:
D. Illustrations.
(1) Each catalog illustration is assigned a figure number commencing with figure
(Fig.) 1 and progressing sequentially. A given operator’s catalog could have gaps
in figure number sequence in order to add the illustrations as a result of the
revision inserted. When it is necessary to show modifications or design changes
which require the additional figures, alpha symbols may be applied for these
figures.
(3) Pictures of systems, assemblies, sub-assemblies with required details are given
on the catalog illustration.
(4) When impractical to completely explode on one illustration all the detail parts of
each sub-assembly contained in any assembly or unit (e.g. due to excess
information on the illustration), the sub-assembly may be illustrated completely
assembly on one illustration, with a separate break down and an exploded view
of this sub-assembly furnished on a second illustration. Such sub-assembly shall
be assigned an item number on the assembly illustration and entered as a lead
“RF” item of the exploded sub-assembly illustration. Also in this case in the list
of
parts these entries shall be bilaterally cross-referenced.
