 Academic council uniform
Wearing the robes on black blouses and skirts, sleeves and pants with the pin on the left side of the collar --- they were the Academic Council.
The Academic Council is a branch organization of the Junior Philippine Institute of Accountants (JPIA) under the College of Accountancy(COA). In
2009, Mr. Lowelle Cielo Pacot, program head of the Accountancy and Accounting Technology at present, was the governor of COA. During his
time, the college activities were more on extra-curricular until one day, he proposed to involve academic and co- curricular activities.

This was the first academic activity of JPIA. Later on, Mr. Raymundo Dolor, Vice Chancellor for Academics wanted to formalize an organization
who will focus mainly on academic activities related to accounting. That’s why Academic Council was instituted through meeting up and approval
with the Academic Heads of COA.

Before wearing this black and gray uniform with the Academic Council Pin at the left side of the collar, BSA students must pass the 5 sets of
qualifying examinations given by the faculty of the College of Accountancy. Once completed, passers would be recognized as Qualified BSA
Students during the annual Acceptance Rites. The activity involves the wearing of official Academic Council Uniform, candle lightning and pinning
of Qualified BSA seal.
