Learning Objective Standard 5.1 The student, given a decimal through
thousandths, will round to the nearest whole number, tenth, and hundredth. Activity This is a learning activity that will get the students to create a quiz including three questions from each student to test their knowledge of rounding to the nearest whole number, tenth, and hundredth as a group. The teacher will use the white board to demonstrate to the class place value, how to round, and have the students complete five questions for Guided Practice. The students will then, for homework, create a Quizalize quiz on their classroom laptop that will be used the next day as a review before their graded quiz on the SOL content. The website they will use is www.quizalize.com. They will log in under the teacher’s account.
