students to complete along with a creative title, helpful description, and relevant SC
teaching standards. There must be one app per step.

Title: Identifying Shapes

Relevant SC Standards:

2.G.1 Identify triangles, quadrilaterals, hexagons, and cubes. Recognize and draw shapes having
specified attributes, such as a given number of angles or a given number of equal faces.

Description: This geometry app lesson will teach students to identify and draw certain
shapes.

Instructional Objective: Students will be able to use 3 apps to learn how to identify
triangles, quadrilaterals, hexagons and cubes. First the Students will learn how to
identify a certain shape by watching a shape related Khan Academy video. Students then
will use the Geoboard app to draw certain shapes and identifying what shape they draw.

Step 1: Students will watch “Recognizing Shapes” video on the Khan Academy app.

Step 2: Students will use the app Geoboard to make shapes and identify them by
screenshotting each shape and writing in their notebook what each shape is called. All
students will share in class.

Step 3: Students will use the Quizlet app to make their own flashcards which identify
each shape by how many faces and angles the shape has.
