purposes and audiences, and relate them to real life situations.

5.2.1 Can identify meaning of words based on the context

Learning objectives: By the end of this lesson, students will be able to:

(i) Take part in a discussion with a group of friends and getting at


least 4 out of 6 correct answers from the discussion.
(ii) Give at least 4 out of 6 acceptable reasons for the questions given.

Previous knowledge: Knows certain words and phrases from the poem.

Teaching aids: Picture of a report card. Prezi, Worksheet 1 and Worksheet 2, Box of names

setting, what it is about, structure, and
tone of the poem.

of these notes about the poem and then
discuss it with the students.
4. Teacher will once again check students’
understanding before moving on to the
next stage.

Practice 1. Teacher will still use Prezi but using  Worksheet 1
