The course helps students to acquire skills, knowledge and the right attitude to select standard jigs and
fixtures, design jigs and fixtures for welding fabrication, decide predictive & corrective action method
related to pre-preparation of fabrication work, prepare corrective action report, monitor heat treatment
process on welded material (pre-heat & PWHT), monitor heat treatment process on welded material
(pre-heat & PWHT), and prepare work report for other activities related to fabrication project

12. Course Synopsis:


This course identifies the competence required for selecting standard jigs and fixture, design jigs and
fixtures for welding fabrication, deciding predictive & corrective action method related to pre-
preparation of fabrication work, preparing corrective action report, conducting stress relief process on
material, monitoring heat treatment process on welded material (pre-heat & PWHT),verifying marking
& development (design), verifying suitable of corrosion protection method, determining appropriate
corrosion protection method, determining appropriate work process for joint preparation and preparing
work report for other activities related to fabrication project in accordance to BS/AWS standards.
