With the 2011 season coming, we thought it was time to provide a highlights package of
where we are!

• We have a committee.

• We have provisional acceptance from the VRL

• We are close to agreement with one of two councils on a ground

• We will be advertising for Coaches in September

• We have organized with the Melbourne Storm to run Level 1 coaching courses in
November for our coaches free of charge.

• We are in discussions with former Storm Players about Coaching the Fast Track
Development Program for talented juniors

• We are now recruiting for players from schools in the area & commenced our school

• We have appointed two people to our Sales & Marketing team, Ross Hughes and Andy

Building our Club & Senior Team:

Back in March 2010,

2010 when a chance meeting of Shane Griffin and Ross Christensen at a Storm
Clinic at Buckley Park set off a chain of events that saw the North West Wolves Incorporated and
Admitted to the VRL in August of 2010.

The committee had initially decided to start with junior teams. Another chance meeting of Shane
and Ashely Lanfranchi, on moving to Melbourne, saw a second chain of events to build a full club
from day 1.

Over the past 3 months our committee has been working behind the scenes to create a successful
club in its inaugural season. We know there is talent in the North West and we know what we are
in for having seen first hand the VRL for 3 years. In fact Shane a full time Development Officer
with the Storm, has looked after the Victorian Primary School u/12’s for the past 2 years. Shane
is extremely confident the Wolves can take the competition by Storm.

Our weakness appeared to be our seniors. Our committee though has started scouring the world
for talent. At this time we are in contact with 7 highly talented individuals. They include:

⇒ a 19 year old school boy champion from Bathurst,

⇒ a 23 y/o 6’ 5” 120 kg, giant 80 minute Prop

⇒ A 24 y/o QLD Cup,

Cup Centre

⇒ 2 UK professionals

So how do we secure these guys?

⇒ A sponsor for each player to guarantee match payments. This would be around $2,000 -
$3,000 for each player for the season

⇒ Accommodation; and / or

⇒ Access to jobs, most of these guys are looking for unskilled roles
