A. Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001) .

B. Safety Precautions
(1) On the ENG panel 115VU located on the center pedestal:
(a) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this
procedure.
(3) On the maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC system 1(2).

Subtask 30-21-51-020-053-A
A. Removal of the Engine Air Intake Anti-ice Valve
(1) Remove the electrical connector 4000DN-A (1) from the anti-ice valve (4).
(2) Put blanking caps on all the disconnected electrical connector(s) and receptacle(s).
(3) Remove the two anti-ice valve couplings (3) and (5).
(4) Loosen the duct coupling at the cowl bulkhead.
(5) Make a note of the direction of the flow arrow on the valve body. It must be in the same position on
installation.
(6) Remove the valve (4).
(7) Remove the two seals (2) and (6).

(8) Put COVER - PROTECTION on the open duct ends, the anti-ice valve (4), the electrical connector
and the electrical receptacle.
