Every one of us have dreams we hope will be realized. It is important
for us, as Langston Hughes writes in his poem, “to hold fast to dreams”. We also must understand that to realize our dreams it takes sacrifice. Arlene had to die to realize hers. For this response activity, you will: 1. choose one of your dreams 2. express it in a creative, visual way (writing, poetry, drawing, painting, sculpture, collage, video, etc.) 3. and naturally integrate the sacrifice it will take to realize that dream. Objective: Students will express their dreams and the sacrifice that they will make to achieve their dreams through a creative and visual way.
