System Description

WATER TANK (MTT) An open centrifugal type water pump

DUMP BAR

A spray bar that contains several rows of

water supply to the dump bar. The BFV is

box and is actuated by a hydraulic cylinder.
The actuators receive hydraulic pressure
from the solenoid control box assembly.
Dump bars can be either gravity or pressure

TANK DRAIN

A hydraulic BFV attached to the water tank

BEFORE OPERATIONS
These procedures are used to perform a walk-around
inspection of the MEGA water tanker system before
use or beginning of the shift. This inspection is in
addition to and does not replace the vehicle
manufacturer’s (CAT) inspection requirements.

1. Vehicle Parking Brake - ON

2. Cab Control Switches – SET OFF

3. Foam Concentrate Level – CHECKED

4. Monitor – CHECKED & SECURED


A. Nozzle – Check for security of foam
concentrate supply line and correct flow disk
size/selector dial setting.
