Content THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN RESOLVED WITH THE RELEASE OF SDD DVD139.06

ISSUE:
When using the “twisted arrows” data refresh button on the Vehicle Statement of Health (VSOH)
screen, (see attached screen shot) SDD is expected to perform a complete data collect from the
vehicle including current DTC’s along with control module hardware and software details etc.

CAUSE:
Its been confirmed that this SDD process is not always functioning as designed on DVD139. When the
“twisted arrows” data refresh button is used, the following issues have been reported.
The list of DTC’s displayed may not be 100% accurate and often includes multiple listings for the
same DTC in a single module.
The Vehicle State of Change comparison display and reports may include unreliable facts,
especially hardware and software details.

ADVICE:
Until the root cause of these issues is identified and resolved, all SDD users should avoid using
this technology within SDD and rely upon the basic standard functionality as follows.
For confirming the vehicle’s current state of control module DTC’s, only use the “Complete vehicle -
Re-read all stored diagnostic trouble codes” function from the list of candidates on the
Recommendations tab.
For confirming the vehicle’s current state of control module hardware and software levels etc, only
use the “Module information - Network integrity test” function from the list of candidates on the
Recommendations tab.

If there is any uncertainty, a completely new session can be started and the initial data collect in the
new session can be used to confirm the vehicle’s current state, but this is not known to be required if
the advice above is followed.
