PREFACE

Personnel / Human Resource Management deals with people or human

dimension in management. It primarily encompasses those activities
designed to provide for and coordinate the human resource of an
organization.
According to Ivancevich and Gluck,
“Personnel Management is the function performed in organizations that
facilitates the most effective use of people ( employees ) to achieve
organizational individual goals.”
The above aim of attaining goals could be achieved only if the skills in
human are developed and they remain committed to the organization. The
development of skills is essential for the accomplishment of organizational
objectives, which is only possible through training. This is the subject
matter of the report. We have tried our best to search the various
methodology used by DAWAR FOOTWEAR INDUSTRIES to train their
staff by searching out shortcomings in them.

For a company to stay ahead in terms of quality and competitiveness, it has to

rely on the strength of its own infrastructure and resources. We, at Dawar Group,
realized it very early. Today, we not only have a most modern manufacturing
complex but also an array of sophisticated machines to produce a diverse range

manufacturing enhances production and ensure quality. On-line Quality Control
Checks by seasoned professionals enable us to monitor consistency in
production of a particular order.

10
From shoe upper to complete shoes, everything is produced in-house there by
reducing production lead-time and enhancing cost effectiveness. Over the years,
the group has kept a sturdy pace with technological advances in footwear
production. It has continuously upgraded its infrastructure to produce quality
footwear.

QUALITY POLICY

At Dawar, we look at quality from a different perspective. Concern for quality is

ingrained in our system. It is an integral part of our thought process. And that is

11
how it has become a tangible aspect of our products. You can see and feel it.
Quality is not talking about it; it is doing it. It should be inherent in your belief
system.

From time to time our people undergo orientation programmes conducted with
the assistance of technocrats to understand qualitative aspects of products we
make. To top it all, the management of Dawar Group monitors the production
process to ensure that each footwear bears Dawar's seal of 'Quality Always'.
