Noncommercial Vehicle Usage

Cars, Motorcycles, and Trucks (Personal, Noncommercial, Double Axle)


1. Vehicle Lighting
1.1. Lighting Requirements
1.1.1. All front facing lights must be solid white.
1.1.1.1. Center of headlamps must be between 21 and 23
inches from the roadways
1.1.2. All rear facing lights must be solid red, with the exception of
turn signals, which must be amber or red, and reverse lights
which must be white.
1.2. During Dark Conditions
1.2.1. All lights must operate on vehicle, which include all listed in
(1.2.2)
1.2.2. Headlights, Tail Lights, Blinkers(Section 1.2.3), License
Plate Illumination.
1.2.3. On a highway or freeway the left/right blinker must be in
working condition or hand single must be present.
1.3. During Bright Conditions
1.3.1. Only both break lights can be in operating condition, rest is
optional.
1.3.2. Section 1.2.3 applies to Section 1.3.
1.4. Underglow

1.4.1. Vehicles shall not display underglow while in motion on an
interstate, state, or local thoroughfare.
1.4.2. Emergency vehicles may display scene lighting.
1.5. Solid and Flashing Lights
1.5.1. Red lights of which are solid, flash, or ascoltate shall not be
displayed on a motor vehicle unless it is a registered
emergency vehicle or a vehicle operated by a volunteer or
paid chief, president or assistant chief of a fire department or
ambulance.
1.5.2. Green lights of which are solid, flash, or ascoltate shall not
be displayed on a motor vehicle unless it is operated by a
volunteer ambulance member permitted by that agency’s
chief.
1.5.3. Blue lights of which are solid, flash, or ascoltate shall not be
displayed on a motor vehicle unless it is operated by a
volunteer fire department member permitted by that
agency’s chief.
1.5.4. White lights of which flash or ascoltate from the headlight
modules shall not be displayed on a motor vehicle unless is
it a registered emergency vehicle or a member of a volunteer
ambulance, fire department, rescue agency, or community
safety agency by which is permitted by that agency’s chief.
1.5.5. Spotlamps
1.5.5.1. A motor vehicle may be equipped with not to exceed
two white spotlamps, which shall not be used in
substitution of Headlamps. This section does not
apply to spotlamps on authorized emergency
vehicles. No spotlamp when in use shall be directed
so as to illuminate any other moving vehicle.
2. Window Tinting

2.1. Los Santos City Limits
2.1.1. The front driver and passenger windows must allow a
minimum of 35% light to show through.
2.1.2. Maximum of Dark Smoke tint.
2.2. Los Santos County Limits
2.2.1. The front driver and passenger windows must allow a
minimum of 5% light to show through.
2.2.2. Maximum of Pure Black tint.
2.3. The front windshield must not have any tint below the ANSI line,
applies to 2.1 and 2.2.
3. License Plates
3.1 All passenger vehicles are required to display 2 license plates: 1
plate on the front of the car. AND. 1 plate on the back of the car.

4. Damage on vehicles
4.1. Windows
4.1.1. Front windshield is the only piece of glass that must remain
solid at all times, exempt minor cracks and chips.
4.1.2. Any window, besides the front windshield, that is broken and
not solid must have all extra shards of glass removed and
disposed properly.
4.2. Body damage
4.2.1. All vehicle must alignment in a square non lenient position.
4.2.2. Doors are required on all vehicles, except the listed vehicles
in section 3.2.2.1
4.2.2.1. Bifta, Bodhi, Dubsta 6x6, Dune Buggy, Duneloader,
Hot Rod Blazer, Injection, Insurgent, Kalahari,
Marshall, Mesa, Rancher XL, Rebel, Sandking SWB,
Sandking XL, The Liberator.
5. Height of Vehicle Frame From Roadway

5.1. Vehicles under 4,500lbs shall not exceed 27inches.
5.2. Vehicles between 4,5001 and 7,500lbs shall not exceed 30inches.
5.3. Vehicles between 7,501 and 10,000lbs shall not exceed 31inches.
5.4. Lift kits shall not exceed 5inches.
5.5. It is unlawful to operate any passenger vehicle, or commercial
vehicle under 6,000 pounds, which has been modified from the
original design so that any portion of the vehicle, other than the
wheels, has less clearance from the surface of a level roadway
than the clearance between the roadway and the lowermost portion
of any rim of any wheel in contact with the roadway.
6. Exhaust
6.1. All motor vehicles, must be emission tested biannually.
6.2. All motor vehicles are required to have a muffler installed.
7. Motorcycle Operation
7.1. Helmets are required during usage.
7.2. Article B, Section 1, applies to motorcycles at all times.
7.3. Lane splitting is permitted in Los Santos City Limits and in County
Limits.
7.4. Lane splitting is illegal on highways at speeds more than 10 miles
per hour over the speed limit.
7.4.1. If traffic is stalled on highways lane splitting can occur.
7.5. Article ​A​ Section 3 applies to motorcycles. Only 1 license plate
required
7.5.1 Motorcycles not given license plates per GTA Online are still
permitted.

Commercial Vehicle Usage

Cars and Trucks (Commercial, Double Axled or More)
1. Vehicle Lighting
1.1. Lighting Requirements
1.1.1. All front facing lights must be solid white. Commercial
vehicles must also display amber secondary lights.
1.1.2. All rear facing lights must be solid red, with the exception of
turn signals, which must be amber, and reverse lights which
must be white.
1.2. During Dark Conditions
1.2.1. All lights must operate on vehicle, which include all listed in
(1.2.2)
1.2.2. Headlights, Tail Lights, Blinkers, License Plate Illumination
and Trailer Illumination.
1.2.3. On a highway or freeway the left/right blinker must be in
working condition.
1.3. During Bright Conditions
1.3.1. All lights must be functional for other drivers to see your
truck.
1.3.2. Secondary lights must be on at all times during day time.
2. Window Tinting
2.1. No window tint is allowed on the listed in 2.1.1
2.1.1. Front windshield, left or right side of cab.
2.2. Window tint is allowed on the sleeper section of the truck.
2.3. Trailer tint does not apply to Section 2.
3. Damage on vehicles

3.2.1. All vehicle must alignment in a square non lenient position.
4. Restrictions on driving
4.1. Commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers are limited to 11
cumulative hours driving in a 14-hour period, following a rest period
of no less than 10 consecutive hours.
4.2. Within Los Santos City limits CMV drivers have to drive 10 miles
under the posted speed limit.
4.3. Within Los Santos County limits CMV drivers can drive the posted
speed limit, no higher.
5. Transportation of Dangerous Goods
5.1. Goods deemed hazardous or dangerous by the United States
Department of Transportation must be appropriately marked and
placarded per the USDOT regulations.
Article C
Rules of the Road

Disclaimer: All law enforced laws apply to Article C, if Article C is not


supported by the already placed laws then Article C will be add to the laws.

2. Speed Limits
2.1. Los Santos City Limits
2.1.1. Residential areas are a maximum of 25 mph and a
minimum of 5 mph.
2.1.2. Major roads and/or commercial areas are a maximum of
45 mph and a minimum of 35 mph.

2.1.3. Highways and Freeways have a maximum of 60 mph
and a minimum of 45 mph.
2.2. Los Santos County Limits
2.2.1. Residential areas are a maximum of 35 mph and a
minimum of 15 mph.
2.2.2. Major roads and/or commercial areas have a maximum
of 55 mph and a minimum of 40 mph.
2.2.3. Highways and Freeways have a maximum of 65 mph
and a minimum of 50 mph.
3. Lanes
3.1. Los Santos City Limits
3.1.1. All lanes are marked in directions on the road.
3.1.2. Highway related roads, the far right lane is the slowest.
3.1.3. Highway related roads, the far left lane is the fastest.
3.2. Los Santos County Limits
3.2.1. All lanes are marked in directions on the road.
3.2.2. Highway related roads, the far right lane is the slowest.
3.2.3. Highway related roads, the far left lane is the fastest.
3.2.4. Section 3.2.2 and 3.2.3 do not apply if there is only two
lanes in one direction, therefore 2.3.5 would take over.
3.2.5. Left lane is only for passing vehicles in the right lane.
3.2.5.1. No passing vehicles on the right unless
necessary for “Left Lane Hoggers”.
4. Lines on the Roads
4.1. Yellow solid line represents no availability to pass over the line
at any time except listed in 4.1.1.

4.1.1. 4.1 does not apply to private property entry, business
entries and/or other entries that don't have a break in
the line for.
4.1.2. Yellow solid lines come single and double widths.
4.2. Solid white line represents no availability to cross lanes.
4.3. Dashed white lines represents the area your vehicles is
required to stay within. Crossing lanes is supported.
5. Wear and Tear
5.1. Exhausted brakes are illegal.
5.2. Excessive skidmarks are illegal.
5.2.1. 10’ or more of tire markings from either accelerating or
decelerating is illegal.
5.3. Burning out or skidding tires in place is illegal and can fined for
destruction of property.
5.3.1. Section 5.3 is limited to San Andreas owned property
and roads. Section 5.3.1.1 is exempt from section 5.
5.3.1.1. Private property, business property and dirt roads
outside of SADOT jurisdictions.
5.4. Deflated tires are illegal.
5.4.1. Rims of cars must not grind on pavement.
6. Moving Emergency Vehicles
6.1. It is required that when a vehicle displays a solid, flashing, or
oscillating red light or flashing headlamps and an audible
warning device, that operators on the roadway yield to allow
the vehicle to pass.
6.1.1. Vehicles must pull the right hand side of the roadway
and come to a complete stop.

6.1.2. “Audible Warning Device” is a siren or emergency
vehicle horn.
6.2. Flashing or oscillating blue, green or white headlamps with no
accompanying audible warning device are considered
courtesy lights used by members of volunteer emergency
agencies. Operators are not required to pull over but it is
recommended.
7. Stopped Emergency Vehicles
7.1. It is required that when an emergency vehicle (wrecker,
roadway maintenance, fire protection, law enforcement,
rescue, or emergency medical vehicle) is stopped on the side
of an interstate, state, or local thoroughfare, of which has
more than one lane, that the operators of vehicles traveling in
the same direction, must move over one full lane and reduce
speed 10 miles an hour under the posted speed limit while
passing said emergency vehicle.
7.1.1. In the event that that the thoroughfare has only one lane
travelling in the direction of the stopped emergency
vehicle, operators travelling in that direction must
reduce to at least 15 miles per hour under the posted
speed limit and proceed around the emergency vehicles
with caution.
8. Motor Vehicle Operation
8.1. All motor vehicles traveling on an interstate, state, or local
thoroughfare must have a valid registration with the State of
San Andreas Department of Motor Vehicles or an outside
state equivalent.
8.1.1. Document must be carried in the motor vehicle.

8.1.2. Vehicle must be insured.
8.1.3. Vehicles must be emission tested yearly.
8.2. All operators of vehicles traveling on interstate, state, or local
thoroughfares, must be in possession of a valid license
permitting them to drive through the State of San Andreas
Department of Motor Vehicles or and outside state equivalent.
8.2.1. Operators in possession of a valid State of San Andreas
learner’s permit must be accompanied by an adult in
possession of a valid State of San Andreas driver’s
license.
8.3. No person shall operate a motor vehicle while under the
influence of mind altering substances including but not limited
to drugs and alcohol.
8.3.1. No operator shall have a blood alcohol content level of
0.08 or greater.
8.3.2. No operator shall be under the influence of narcotic
drugs.
8.3.3. No operator shall be under the influence of THC.
8.4. Use of electronics while operating a motor vehicle.
8.4.1. No operator shall utilize cellular devices while operating
a motor vehicle.
8.4.1.1. Exception includes hands free devices.

Unroadworthy Vehicles

1. Vehicles prohibited on interstate, state, and local thoroughfares.

1.4.1. Can be used during wartime or martial law but otherwise
require police escort.
1.5. Vehicles exceeding 88,000 LBS
1.6. Vehicles exceeding 102 inches wide, 14 feet tall, and/or 40 feet long
for a single vehicle.
1.7. Aircraft
1.7.1. Exceptions include emergency landings, transportation of
government or public safety personnel during an emergency
or emergency evacuations.
1.8. Watercraft
1.8.1. Except when being appropriately towed.
2. Vehicles prohibited on state and interstate thoroughfares.

2.4. Motor vehicles without a windshield.
