Literary devices
The show starts with Eurydice and Orpheus, two people that are considered too much in
love. They get married and then Eurydice is lured to an apartment by a man telling her he
has a letter from her dead father. Eurydice tries to run away from the man, but she falls
down the stairs and dies. Eurydice goes to the underworld where she wakes up without
her memory. Her father finds her and eventually helps her recover her memory. Now
Orpheus has figured a way to travel to the Underworld and bring Eurydice back to life.
He convinces the Child to let Eurydice go, but when they leave, Eurydice must walk
behind him, and Orpheus is forbidden to look back at her. Sadly, Orpheus looks back as
soon as Eurydice calls his name and the two eventually lose their memory.
