Adherence to legislative requirements and continuous improvement measures to reduce the effect on the
environment are ensured by the following principles:

· Saarstahl aims to bring the ecological and economic aspects of the manufacturing and processing of our
products into line. We control our energy consumption to avoid unnecessary energy usage and develop Dimensions
concepts for improving energy efficiency, in particular when carrying out investments and major repairs.

· Our efforts are regularly assessed by the environmental management and are therefore continually fo­
cused on further minimizing the effects on the environment (such as utilization of resources, dust and
noise emissions, amount of waste). When new production processes are introduced and new facilities
