Course Outline
CV315 PLAIN AND REINFORCED CONCRETE

Introduction: Design and construction of strong, durable and economical concrete structures
requires understanding of the properties of concrete constituents and characteristics of fresh
and hardened concrete. The design of concrete mixes for achieving the desired
characteristics of good concrete is also included in this course along with laboratory work.

Prerequisite CIVIL ENGINEERING MATERIALS (CV203)

Recommended book: CONCRETE TECHNOLOGY Neville and Brooks
