Corporate Overview: OMRON’s Origins
OMRON was established in 1933 as Tateisi Electric Manufacturing Company. The name was
OMRON’s
history changed to OMRON Corporation in 1990. The name OMRON comes from the original location of
the company in Omuro, Kyoto.
