Music For A Change Concert Series Benets Nonprots

By Jeremy Stanley
Editor-in-Chief

Music For A Change, a long-running benet music series, returns this

year with a lineup of popular folk artists taking the stage.
Ten years running, the Music For A Change series has raised more than
$150,000 for charities like Habitat for Humanity.
In the past, the series has hosted, among others: Art Garfunkel of the
legendary duo, jazz favorite Wynton Marsalis, Shawn Colvin, Richie
Havens and Jonathan Edwards.
Returning for their ninth performance in the history of the Music For
A Change series is Rani Arbo and Daisy Mayhem. Female vocalist Rani
Arbo leads instrumentalists and backup vocalists Andrew Kinsey, Anand
Nayak and Scott Kessel.
The band features a guitar, bass and banjo. A unique, quirky addition
to the ensemble is something the band affectionately calls ““Drumship
Enterprise,”” a drum set made with recycled material.
The season begins on Sept. 25 at the Wilde auditorium. Among the
lineup for this year’’s shows is a return performance by Jonathan Edwards,
Paula Poundstone and Buskin & Batteau.
Tickets for the Rani Arbo and Daisy Mayhem show are $20 and the
show begins at 7:30 p.m.
