New Amplification Scrolls

There is a new Amplification Scroll available in the Premium Shop. This scroll will be replacing the previous Scrolls of
Amplification in the Premium Shop.
Here's what the new scrolls do:
1.) They provide 1.5x Experience for the first scroll and an additional .5x for each scroll stacked for a maximum of 2.5x
Experience. (These scrolls are stackable up to three times.)
2.) They can be used by characters of any level.

Flyff Version 10 Beta Test!
Attention Flyffers!
The Version 10 Beta Test is here! This is your first chance to get a look at the new Dungeons and Monsters. The
Beta will be open to the public Mondays - Thursdays until it goes down. Everyone will be starting as a level 1
character but the experience and the drop rates will be increased to 20x the normal rate. That's right. 20x Exp. and 20x
Drops.
As with previous Flyff Betas the characters that you use will be deleted when the Beta closes. Please, do not attempt to
make any purchases from the ingame Premium Shop, or to send item from the Premium Shop to characters on the test
server, they will not make it to your characters. GPotatoes lost in this way may not be refunded.

Stat Pets: Stat Pets will no longer lose a life due to any PvP/PK activity.
Premium Shop Pets: Premium Shop pets will no longer attempt to pick up items if their owner's inventory is full.
Bug Fixes: Dragging items from a Private Shop while moving no longer crashes the game client.
Changes to Demian: Channels 2 and 3 of the Demian server will be removed for the time being to make way for the

I can feel the chill of autumn bearing down on me, harsh and relentless. It seems to seep into my old bones and tinge
my skin a color more suited to the leaves that surround my cottage. I’m not as young as I used to be and have begun to
feel each year more than the last.
I saw them again today. One glided right by me as I left my cottage, staying to the shadows of the trees, eyeing me as I
went to visit Juria. A single word filled my mind upon seeing him, moving like mercury through the woods: Vampire. I
stumbled over some unseen obstacle and when I looked up he was gone.
And later when I was leaving the Bobo Brothers, there was another. A Kang shi. A living corpse! It was all I could do to
craft a binding spell and attach it to her forehead before getting on my board and flying off as fast as I could. She
reached for me at the last moment, hands grasping, eyes staring blankly.
There is change in the air…
On a more cheerful note: I’ve made great success with imbuing in-animate objects with life. After weeks of trial and error
my staff smiled at me today. And I’ve begun work on a Hamburger as a gift for my niece, although, I seem to have
misplaced it…

A curse has been lifted…

The marketplace in front of Saint Hall was, as usual, crowded with stores of all kinds,
people selling the goods from a day’s hunt or a lifetime of hard work. Customers darted in and out
of shops, buying this, desiring that, and, more often than not, simply looking.
The Knight’s armor glinted angrily in the twilight and the sound of his sword grinding
against the cobblestones echoed dully as he stepped through the alley-ways that made up Saint
Morning. Crowds shuffled awkwardly out of the way as he marched single-mindedly towards Saint
Hall, eyes locked on its impressive, stained-glass window.
After a quick nod of greeting to the Guardians, the Knight knelt at the stairs leading to the
Hall and bowed deeply.
“Great Goddesses of Madrigal, something that we have worked so hard for was stolen from
us and I’ve come to ask for it back. I have traveled your world and fought the evil that is spread
throughout it, risking my life and my sanity. For a sign from you, Goddesses, for vindication in my
belief, I would give everything. A sign, Great Ladies, that is all I ask.”
There was a flash and throughout Madrigal people gasped as their weapons began to glow once
again, to glow better than they had before. The Knight struggled to his feet and looked at his
sword, pulsing and alive with emerald energy. The tears that ran freely from his jubilant eyes
were well hidden behind his blood-red helmet.
A few changes are in store tonight.
• Your glows are returning to the way they were during V7... with a bonus. You not only get
the cool lightning and fire effect that we used to have, we also get the glows that we had
when V9 was introduced! Ultimate Weapon glows will be corrected at a later time. The V9
glows have also changed color for the following.
Wind is now Violet
Earth is now Green.
• The time you have to loot your drops has been increased from 5 to 7 seconds.
• Users can no longer make characters with special characters by using alt and other
methods. If you currently have a character with this format, please email a GM and request
a name change. The email is flyff@gala-net.com. Please review the name policies located
here.

Hello there everyone!

We thought we'd take some time to address many of the player questions and concerns regarding
the recently announced changes to version 9. Our apologies if your questions have no been
answered here, but we will do our best to get you an answer if the question is fitting.
We will start with the announced changes, and then go into other things that players may not know
of yet.
All channels of all currently existing realms will be converted to PVE (Non-PK)
Yes, we have made a bit of a change, and we understand that there is some major concerns
regarding the changes, but allow us to explain a bit. Unfortunately, due to the changes that
Aeonsoft has made to the new PK system, it is not currently possible to offer both a PK and PVE
channel server. As a result, we have chosen to make all current servers a PVE server and open a
new PK server.
Changes that affect the PVE Server:
• There will no longer be Kill Stealing

• There will no longer be PK anywhere.
• Duel anywhere will remain.
• Kern and Glaphan will become 3 channel servers.
Changes that affect the new PK Server:
• The No PK allowed message will now only be shown 1 time when applicable.
• The New PK server will be a 3 channel PK server.
• Damage Reduction will be adjusted, in an update SOON (not this maintenance). The
developers are looking into restoring damage reduction.
Changes that affect the All Servers:
• The glow system will be modified to provide a combination of both v7 glows, and V9 glows.
We will have more information and screenshots as we get closer to the implementation of
these changes which will be on October 18th.
• Pet EXP – Currently when you put a pet away, you lose 10 minutes worth of pet exp. This
has now been adjusted to 1 minute when putting away pets.
• Item drop looting timer is being increased from 5 to 7 seconds.
Bug Fixes:
• Music will be fixed so that it changes as you play the game, level up, and die.
• Adjusted the tooltip error of the buff Geburah Tiphreth which said the user had a 500%
increased attack speed.
• Angels now have names and descriptions.
• The PK Redemption quest now has a name and appears in your quest log.
• The Priest of Confession now displays the appropriate text when talking to him while red
from PK.
Coming in the near future:
The Developers are looking to bringing back the following things in a future update:
Please note that this is not definite.
• Party dueling.
• Consequence free PK Arena (South of SM, like S4 Arena from V7).
• Visible Player Levels.
• A Pet Revive Item.
Things that are not currently changing:
• Deleveling – Sorry, it’s not going away at this time.

• Skills – Sneaker, Ice Arrow, and Ice Missile will continue to act like they currently are.
• Knockback changes.
• "Berserker mode” when at low hp.
• Pet Hp loss – this will continue at the same rate.

Message from Aeonsoft

To all of our Dearest Flyffers!
We would like to say on behalf of Aeonsoft and all of the Flyff team, thank you all very much for
your support and your encouragement through these last couple of years.
As a Game Developer we are constantly attempting to create new and exciting content for our
players while at the same time pushing for innovation and evolution in our games. However, as a
Game Developer with such a loyal fan base and community, we strive to stay in touch with our
Players.
Recently our desire for innovation put us out of touch with that fan base. In an attempt to create a
more involved and active in-game environment we lost sight of what was truly important, the
wants, needs, and overall, the expectations of our fiercely dedicated friends in the Flyff
Community.
This of course, was a mistake on our part, and as such we would like to formally apologize to
everyone that was effected in any negative way. To our all of our players, Community Managers,
Forum Moderators, and GMs, we are sincerely sorry for forcing a change upon you that no one was
prepared for.
Please join us as we implement changes to return Flyff to the game that you all love with all of the
new aspects that excited everyone so much.
All channels of all currently existing realms will be converted to PVE (Non-PK)
"Kill Stealing" will no longer be possible
Glow system will be fixed on October 11th.
New 7th cluster PK server will be added this week.
Music bug will be fixed this week.
We appreciate your feedback, and thank you for your patience.

The winning game trailer will be used as our newest trailer / promotional video! It is a great chance
to get recognition and win an S-Class Pet with Pet Energy.
Rules are as follows:
Entry must be sent to flyffpromotions@gala-net.com as a link to the video, hosted on an external

site.
If your video is selected as the winner you must be able to submit it in a larger, high quality format
at a later date.
Your video submission may be used on Gpotato's website or other venues as the rights to the video
are given to Gala-Net, Inc.
No copyrighted music or pictures from external sources or companies allowed.
Video must be made using the current Client (Version 9).
Please do not use excessive messages or titles. Small End Credit is Acceptable.

The Clown Goddess Shade has touched Madrigal yet again…
There is an unseasonable chill in the air and Vagrants shake with apprehension at the thought of leaving the safety of
Flarine.
Saint Morning shines against the gloom of early evening. Mias walk by, looking longingly at the light that spills from
the panes of windows shut to keep the cold out.
Shops spring to life in Darken as people crowd the city. A light, metallic dust blows through, bringing with it the scent
of a war long since forgotten.
The Sun finally settles out of sight as a new breed of warrior steps into view from over the horizon. His name is red as
blood and his Pet Dragon is as dark as the night that surrounds them both. In his wake are the bodies of those who
dared to stand against him or were foolish enough to turn their backs to him.
As this Dark Warrior approaches the city walls, another warrior drops down from his Flying Board and steps out to face
him. His name shines as white as Angels’ wings and the eyes of his Pet Lion burn brightly through the mist.
They both know what is at risk…
If the Dark Warrior falls here he will drop all the he has worked so hard to obtain.
If the Light Warrior falls he will have to work hard to get himself to the level he once was.
Their eyes lock for a moment before they clash…shaking Madrigal to its very core.
Who will you be?
What role will you play?
Will you be a Warrior of Darkness and risk it all?

Vista Graphics Distortion:

If you have a new pc running Windows Vista, and you're experiencing graphical
distortion, please update your graphics drivers to the latest available version. The
standard drivers that are shipping with many prebuilt pc's (gateway, dell, compaq etc..)
that use onboard graphics are not current enough and cause display issues inside the
game. If you have a new pc with an ATI or Nvidia Graphics chipset, please download the
latest BETA drivers to fix your issue.
Game Hack Found and Default Setup Error:

Some users are reporting issues where they get the message "Game Hack Found" or
"Default Setup Error" when trying to play. If you get this message, you more then likely
have antivirus or firewall software running that is conflicting with flyff. Please try
disabling it to see if it fixes your issue. Email flyff_support@gala-net.com if you are still
having problems and need help.

Minor Fixes:
High Class Hair Fix
For users that purchased the High Class Hair last week and ran into some technical issues with the hair displaying,
those issues have been resolved. The hair is now also available in the cash shop yet again.
New In Game Font

The in game font has now been updated to Verdana, which will allow you to better distinguish between I's and L's. For
users that have used the difference before to name their characters with capitol I's to look like L's, please note we will
not be offering you a name change.
Improved Client Security

We have added some additional security measures to the FlyFF Client, and as a result some users may get errors when
trying to load the game. If you run into any errors when trying to load the client, please completely remove FlyFF and
reinstall the game.
Patch Issues
If you are getting patching issues (asking you execute the client again over and over again) please uninstall and reinstall
the client. A fresh installation will solve your issue.

[News] Updated Spamming Rules

Hello Flyff Community!
Currently spamming is out of control.
What is considered spamming?
More then 5 lines within 60 seconds.
However you wish to reach that 5 lines is up to you.
You can do 5 lines at once, and wait 60 seconds, or one line every 12 seconds, or 2 lines every 20 seconds, it doesn't
matter.
If anyone exceeds 5 lines in 60 seconds, it's spam.
This includes Fullshouts as well.
Starting immediately, if we receive spamming reports, and you are caught spamming, you will be muted indefinitely.
Should you open a shop or come in with another character to beg for your voice back, you will be banned for 3 days.
It may sound drastic, but until the day proper filters are built in, we will need to keep this under control.

Windows Vista Graphics Bug (Shaking Screen)
This is a known issue with the new operating system and Flyff.
As with all new Operating Systems, there will always be issues to work out. At this time, this is on the forefront. However,
due to the fact that it is an Operating System error, there is no quick fix, or easy fix and I ask that you all be patient while
the developers are able to correct this issue.
As a temporary fix, please do the following:

Use a blinkwing and teleport to Darkon. Log out of Flyff and close the Application. Log back into Flyff. Play as normal.
When you log out in Darkon, you will not have the screen shaking issue when you log in.

There continues to be an issue going on with newly created accounts not being able to log into FlyFF, and the user
getting the error "Wrong ID".
This is related to an issue between our Flyff Database and the Gpotato user Database.
Our Engineers are working to resynchronize the databases. Please be patient as this issue is a top priority right now for
our engineers.

This is a known issue with the new operating system and Flyff. We are still sending data to Aeonsoft, please be assured
of that.
As with all new Operating Systems, there will always be issues to work out. At this time, this is on the forefront. However,
due to the fact that it is an Operating System error, there is no quick fix, or easy fix and I ask that you all be patient while
the developers are able to correct this issue. We will inform you on the forums, or on the news page when we have a
solution.

This week marks the return of the Mailbox, which received a much needed tune up to fix the few kinks that had been
reported. If you experience any issues with the mailbox, please seek out a GM for help, or email flyff@gala-net.com
New Weather!
Spring has started and the snow in Madrigal has halted. The trees around the world have now blossomed into cherry
blossoms. Look out for the strong winds that will blow the blossoms all around!
Minor Fixes:
• Fixed the missing glow effects from Angel's Axes.

• It is now not possible to enter the Dekanes Dungeon after being transformed into a Baby Aibatt, Lawolf, or
Luia.
• Only Characters level 70 and above can now enter the Dekanes Dungeon. Players below this level will not be
able to enter, even if they have a Mine Entrance Card.
• A Register button has been added to the patch client for those who download the game but didn’t register an
account on gpotato.com.

We are setting drops to double beginning next maintenance. When the servers come up on Thursday March
22nd at 1:00AM PDT, we will have 2 x item drops on all monsters until the following maintenance which is
Wednesday, March 28th, 11PM PDT.
 GM Event in game to be announced! We are working on an in game event for all servers.

New Skill System
Unfortunately before we discuss the new skill system we must relay some bad news. During maintenance
tonight we discovered a severe hardware error. We will not be able to bring up Aibatt and Mia at the end of
maintenance as planned. We currently have no ETA but rest assured we will keep you informed as we gather
more information. We are extremely sorry for this inconvenience and will work very hard to ensure that we fix
the problem ASAP.
We are still talking and awaiting final word for giving you some kind of compensation for the down time Thursday and
Friday. We have a big conference going on right now, so things are taking a bit of time, but we will let you know. We
can't apply it tonight due to the extended maintenance I'm afraid, but we have not forgotten nor ignored you.
1. SXP has been REMOVED! (The SXP bar in the character window will also be removed.)
2. The present skill points is converted like the below.
• A. Minimum Guaranteed Skill Point + Bonus Skill Point for 1st Job + Bonus Skill Point for 2nd Job.
• B. Fomulas for 'Minimum Guaranteed Skill Point' and 'Bonus Skill Point for 1st/2nd Job' are like the below.

[Server Status] System Downtime and Rollback[March 2nd, 2007]

The Servers are UP!!
Yes, it says roll back in the title. I am so sorry to announce this.

At 9pm PST on March 1st. 2007, a log in error was brought to my attention. We immediately began looking into the
situation and brought down the servers.
However, I have been told that there is a serious roll back after the emergency maintenance.
Lawolf rolled back to March 1st, 11:30 am PST
Aibatt rolled back to March 1st, 11:30 am PST
Mushpoie rolled back to March 1st, 11:30 am PST
Mia rolled back to March 1st, 11:30 am PST
Glaphan rolled back to March 1st, 11:30 am PST
This was not planned, not anticipated, and we are sincerely sorry that this has happened.
The GM team will be talking Monday about ways that we can make it up to you, as we recognize that you will have not
only lost levels, but your time, items in game and of course, we will work to restore gpotatos and cashshop items
purchase through the cashshop at that time.
Please do not email us asking for drops that you may have received, as returning them will not be possible I am afraid.
Again, I am so sorry that this has happened, Gala-Net will be working to ensure that there is not a repeat of this in the
future.

Hello!
No big changes this week, although we do have a few bug fixes.
1. When opening up a new shop, players were receiving the error message stating that
the name must be 3 to 18 letters long. This has been changed to reflect what it should
be. The error message now reads, "The name must be 6 to 18 characters long"
2. [Mercenary Drillmaster] Mustang currently instructs the player to kill 10 Small Aibatts
and 10 Small Mushpangs within 7 Minutes. This has been corrected and will now instruct
the player to kill 20 Small Aibatts and 20 Small Mushpangs within 7 Minutes.
3. Friendship(B) item had the message "No Casting time". This has been corrected and it
will now say "Casting Time 30 Seconds".
4. The effects of the Friendship(A) and Friendship(B) items are reversed. This has now
been reversed to reflect the proper effects for each item.
