PREFACE

Practical training imbibes an integral part of the management studies. One cannot rely
merely upon the theoretical knowledge. However classroom lectures makes the
Fundamental concepts clear, but these must be correlated with the practical training
Situations. To develop managerial & analytical skills, practical exposure is very
necessary
in combination with the theoretical knowledge.

For fulfilling this purpose, B.B.A students are required to undergo a summer Project
Training as an integral part of the curriculum. The objective is to solve the organizational
Problems.

I consider myself lucky enough to get a project at India’s one of the fastest growing
Company AMUL (GCMMF, LTD) really, it was a great learning experience. It helped me
to
get a practical insight into the actual business environment and provided me an
opportunity to make my concepts more clear.

In this report I have tried to give comprehensive picture of details of my project.


Learning is like eating food. It is not how much one eats that matter, what counts is how
much you digest. Knowledge is potential power. Wisdom is the real power. Knowledge
becomes only when it acted upon.
Summer training helps the learner:
 In cultivating strength, patience and perseverance.
 Listening and asking.
* Learning self-discipline
* Understanding gross root realities.
 The value of labour and toil in conducting surveys ,research and compilation of
data etc.

* The art of interacting with board sections of society.
 To art of analysis, dissemination of ideas in lucid and precise reports.

The study at hand is confined to ice cream only as we stand at the threshold of
21ST century; the winds of change have been sweeping in the shores of India. Educated
people are fat adapting to socio –economic changes .a new culture of living trends
indicate a rapid transformation in there eating habits. Ice cream and fast foods are
Becoming more and more popular these days.

The markets for ice cream is all set to boom in an unprecedented manner in
Cognizance of this inevitability, I picked up this challenging commodity for in depth
Study on scientific lines. Primary and secondary data has been used for the study
