1] Talk about the capital cities: Budapest and London.

Budapest is the capital city of Hungary. It has a population of about 2 million. It lies on the
River Danube, and has two parts: Pest and Buda. Budapest is famous for many things.
Tourists come from all over the world to visit its historic buildings, such as the Houses of
Parliament, the Buda Castle Quarter and the Heroes Square. They also come to visit its
theatres, museums and its many shops, such as Arena Plaza, where you can buy anything.
And of course they want to visit its biggest free-time centre, Millenáris, and want to ride on
the chairlift next to the river. Like many big cities, Budapest has problems with traffic and
pollution. Many people a day use the underground, trolleys, trains, buses, but there are still
too many cars on the streets. The air isn’t clean, and it isn’t cleaner than it was 100 years ago.
For me, the best thing about Budapest is the shops. There are more than twenty big shopping
centres in Budapest. The children’s favourite place is the Palace of Miracles where they can
have a fantastic time.

London is the capital of Great Britain, its political, economic and cultural centre. It’s one of
the largest cities in the world. Its population is more than 9 million people. London is situated
on the river Thames. It was founded more than two thousand years ago. London is an ancient
city. There are four parts in London: West End, East End, the City and Westminster. The City
is the oldest part of London, its financial and business centre. Westminster is also important
part of the capital. It’s the administrative centre of London. East End is an industrial district
of the capital. Most of factories are situated there. On the highest tower of the Houses of
Parliament there is the largest clock in the country called Big Ben. The official London
residence of the Queen is Buckingham Palace. The palace was built in 1703 by the Duke
Buckingham. The daily ceremony of the Changing of the Guard takes place in its courtyard.
There are many museums in London. For example, the British Museum, the Natural History
Museum, the Science Museum. The British Museum is the biggest museum in London. The
museum is famous for its library — one of the richest in the world. There are many beautiful
parks in London. St James’s Park, Green Park, Hyde Park, and Kensington Gardens. West
End is the richest part of London. It is full of luxury hotels, super-markets, cinemas and
concert-halls.

- Hello! What are you doing at the weekend?
- I’m going to the cinema on Saturday but I’m not doing anything special on Sunday.
- Would you like to come with me for a trip on Sunday?
- Trip? Where?
- To the hills just outside the town. There is a look-out tower there with a magnificent
view.
- That sounds nice. But how can we get there?
- Walk, of course.
- O.K. That sounds fine.
- Are there any restaurants on the way?
- I don’t think so. We’d better take some sandwiches and something to drink with us.
- And what if it rains on Sunday?
- We’ll go to the museum instead.

I should confess straightaway that I don’t know much about fashion, but I know a whole lot
about clothes. I have been wearing them almost daily for as long as I can remember. Clothes
are important. We dress in different outfits for the roles we play, the places we go, the
company we keep. I think it is not important to be a very fashionable person. But one should
move with the time. Fashion makes our life colorful and changes our life with the time or
according to the time. It makes me feel good whenever I follow fashion and trends. So,
Fashion is not a new thing in the world as it is found everywhere. For some women and some
men, fashion plays an important part for them. Good shopping for a new outfit can brighten a
mood and gives so much pleasure. Some people remember you by your dress For example:
When you met my mother, you wore that shirt or I saw her in my friend’s birthday party.
Fashion is an artistic expression of what is inside. I believe that fashion has the ability to
transform you into a new personality, a different person. Most of the styles are applied by
teenagers. They always want something unique and new style that differs from others.
Therefore, they create a new line of fashion trends to keep their own identity as a teenager.
So, Fashion has its own importance in world.
