COMPANY OVERVIEW

78mm is an online community based website, which is mainly focusing on promoting


alternate destinations and giving alternate experiences to the users and members.
Alternate experience means away from main stream destinations and mass tourism.
Eg. Places like Shimla or Jaipur or Agra are not the destinations that 78mm will be
promoting. We will rather be promoting a small village in some remote areas. The
Destinations which are closer to nature, with more authentic culture, and is not a
commercialized spot are ideal for 78mm trips. We also champion eco and nature
friendly tourism practices. We are a mix of Alternate and Adventure tourism.

78mm has successfully organized many trips at some remote places of Himachal,
Rajasthan, Uthrakhand and J&K, some places in South and this has been the main
business of generating inflows

There are two types of trips organized by 78mm:

• People in groups contact us online and we organize their trips from selected
itineraries.

• We make one itinerary for 8-10 days and sell the entry tickets for the same.
This is a group trip for minimum 25 people.

Company has been successfully able to create a good brand image in a niche
segment. Till now the brand has not been promoted hugely but the people who
knows about it, has a positive impression about the company.

78mm is neither a tour operator nor a travel agent. We don’t want to sell Hotel
rooms or tickets for trains or Planes. It’s a community and want to make its business
model more of online oriented. We can outsource the organizing part if required, i.e.
to organize community trips and other wise as well. We want to increase the website
traffic by providing some useful information or interactive features to users.

TARGET SEGMENT

Age Bracket: 18-30, both male and female enthusiasts.


Income Level: Upper Middle Class to Lower Upper Class.

Location: They can be based out from whole of India. Mainly those People who are
looking for alternate not main stream tourism. For example, Bike trips. Visiting
Remote Places, Village home stays etc.

Trips conducted by 78mmadventures are group trips. But community as a whole can
organize their own trips where 78mm can help them in organizing.

Local People or small companies in adventure tourism from different states are also
a target segment for 78mm. They are at the opposite end of the spectrum. They can
provide useful information or can bid for trips organization that all the users or
community members would be mainly looking for.

OUR REQUIREMENTS

1. Complete website Revamp:

- Company is using the existing website with same designs and functionalities for
last 3 years. So it requires a change.

- This community as a whole has lost its charm because of 2 main reasons:

• Lack of regular content updates or activities

• Lack of useful information or prompt response.

There are hardly 1000 members out of which very few are active. But the best part
is the demand for alternate destinations travel is increasing as a whole.

- Company is looking for sustainable online model of business for the website.

- Forums and Blogs sections haven't been a big hit.

- There are other communities like www.oktatabyebye.com , www.holidayiq.com ,


not exactly in the same segment, they basically promote main stream destinations,
but has been doing ok.

- But these are not exactly our competitors. 78mm is a unique concept in itself but
still have a look at the following site to see someone promoting similar business.

- Please understand, we are looking for website model which can make us get more
people on our website and to find what we do and also select us for their trip. On the
other we are looking for backend partners for organizing trips for us. So website
should have section for that too. Its actually going to be a bridge between demand
and supply.

2. Online Marketing Strategy:

We need a marketing plan which should cover 2 aspects:

- Branding - we want to promote this as a niche online community for alternate


destinations enthusiasts. Get more people involved in. NO MASS TOURISM

- Cost per lead- need a plan for online medium to get actual leads and that too on
the bases of cost to the company per lead.
We are looking for service like SEO, SMO apart from all the promotional activities.

which is able to be brought by the client and differentiate you from other
competitors.

3. Packaging the proposal. Visually as well as structurally.
