GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The TransRec system is designed for oil recovery and transfer

operation.

The system is designed and manufactured to comply with Det

Norske Veritas for operation in hazardous area Gas Zone II,
corresponding to the deck area of an oil recovery vessel during
oil recovery operations.

The TransRec System consists of the following main components:

 Storage and handling unit with integrated telescopic arm
 Floating umbilical
 Skimmer head (s)for various types of spills

The system is designed for operation by only 1 person. Various

functions can be operated from either a radio control panel or
the manual control panel on the machine.

Recovery of oil
The various skimmer heads can be connected to the floating
umbilical, and used to recover oil emulsion from low viscous
oils to high viscous oils.

Transfer of Recovered Oil

In order to increase the overall efficiency during an oil
recovery operation, the TransRec system is designed to transfer
the recovered oil to a receiving tanker during operation in
open sea by use of TransRec floating umbilical.
The oil can then be pumped from the cargo tanks onboard the
recovery vessel to the receiving vessel or to a receiving
terminal via the TransRec unit.
The TransRec is equipped with mooring control to avoid any
stress on the floating umbilical during movement of vessels.

Installation.
The system is designed for easy and quick installation. The
unit are supplied with a @ 20/ @10 ft. containerised basement
with ISO twist lock connection to deck.

Hydraulic power- and cargo lines.

Connection points for hydraulic and cargo lines on the deck
level are recommended.
One set of hydraulic hoses and cargo hose is delivered with the
TransRec system.
