and work 44 open blocks into this, work
a row of blocks into this, 4 treble
into every second block; turn

and do 7 solid blocks and then 15

on until you get one block. Then
do 7 rows witn 1 block and com-
mence chain with 2 blocks twice, then
3 twice, and so on until you get the

row of solid blocks, and end with a
row of open spaces. The border is

row 8 chain, third row 10 chain, do
5 chain, then a bead. (The beads
must all be threaded on the ball of
cotton.) Then 5 more chain, fasten,
and continue all round.
