Bible Verse Last week:「Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!」 Sarah Hu Whiteboard,
11:15-11:20am (2 Corinthians 5:17) marker
This week:「For God does not show favoritism.」(Romans 2:11) *Explain the meaning of favoritism and give
some examples.
Open Talk Step 1- In the beginning, have all the boys sit in the very back of class and the girls sit in the front of the Peter Small treats
11:20-11:30am class. After all the girls are seated, give them each a piece of candy and tell them that they get the (candy)
candy(Don’t eat the candy now.) because they are girls and tell the boys that they do not get the candy
because they are boys.
Step 2 - After the candy is passed out to the girls announce to the class that every boy gets a star for the day
because they are boys and the girls do not get a star because they are girls.
Step 3- Have all the children go back to their original seats, pass out candy to the boys and tell the class that
no one gets a star now. Then ask the boys how they felt when they had to sit in the back and weren't allowed
any candy just because they were boys. If no one is quick to respond, ask them if they thought it was fair or
unfair and why they thought that. Do the same with the girls; ask them how they felt when the boys got a star
just because they were boys. Tell the children that if you give someone a favor because you like him/her; but
you don’t show favor to other people because you don’t like them. It’s called favoritism. The Bible says that
our God does not show favoritism which means God loves all the people in the world.
Story Acts 10 Peter Bible
11:30-11:50am This lesson is taken from the story of God revealing to Cornelius a Gentile and to Peter a Jew, His plan to
remove barriers that separated Jews and Gentiles. Students will learn how God began to guide Peter to
understand His plan to allow Gentiles to receive salvation through faith in Jesus Christ. Even though Peter
doesn’t fully understand he obeys the instructions God gives him.
Small Group You must separate into small groups before 12:00pm. Leaders All the materials
11:50~12:30pm you need.

Time: 11:20~12:30
 Dear Leader: Please follow the lesson plan to lead your small group. Thanks.
1. ROLL CALL (點名)
2. BIBLE VERSE-----11:50~12:00pm □ Cards with Bible verse on them.
 「For God does not show favoritism.」(Romans 2:11)
 Activity---Write each word on separate cards. Whenever you call out a word, ask kids to point to the correct
card. Then scramble the cards and ask kids to place them in the right order. Practice it several times so that the
children would be familiar with the Bible verse.
□ 2 bananas
3. ACTIVITY--- Demonstrate why we shouldn't judge other by what they look like on the
outside - Bring in two bananas which look different from the outside. Discuss how they are different. Ask the
children which one they like better. Ask them which one they would like to eat. Tear the skin and show them
what is inside. Show them that even though the bananas look different on the outside, they look the same on
the inside. This is just like people, we look different but we all experience the same feeling of love, hate,
jealousy, and fear. Jesus doesn't care how we look on the outside; he only cares how we look on the inside. We
should not judge people by the way they look, but by the way the act.
 Talk about differences in people. Tell them God loves us all the same. Tell them God wants us to love everyone
and find what is good about them. Tell the children it is important to love everyone.

4. REVIEW BIBLE STORY--- Acts 10 12:00~12:10pm

Main Point---We live in a world made up of many different people from many different backgrounds,
nationalities and lifestyles. God loves everyone. Children must learn to respect and love each other, because
God loves all of us.
□ Pictures of different people
Showing the kids pictures of different people.
Questions:
 Who created the world? God
 Who created the people in the world? God
 Are all the people look the same? (No) Can you give me a example? (Some are white, some are black.)
 Does God love only one kind of people? No, God loves everyone.
 Should we only be nice to those who are nice to us? (No! We must be kind to ALL people.)
 What do we learn from this lesson? Just because someone is different from us and speaks another
language or dresses differently is no reason to treat them badly. Jesus wants us to show others how
important they are and how much He loves them.
Application---Make friends with different kinds of children and treat other people kindly.
Prayer Time---Dear Lord, thank you for creating me, my family, my friends and many other different people
in the world. Thank you for loving all of us. You don’t show favoritism. Please help me to treat other
people kindly and nicely, because You want us love each other. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
□ Color paper, cardboard
5. CRAFT TIME --- 12:10~12:30pm

3. MESSAGE – Acts 10 12:00~12:10pm

□ Bibles
 Ask the children to open the Bible and read the scripture.
 God created every person that lives on this earth. Even though Cornelius is not a Jew, God heard his prayers
and saw the good things he did in his life. God gave Cornelius instructions to send for a man named Peter who
was staying with a tanner named Simon. Sometimes God’s instructions may make us uncomfortable. Maybe
He’s asking you to share Jesus with the child who rarely bathes and wears dirty clothes who has no friends in
your class. God sees beyond our likes and dislikes and knows the needs of those who are hurting around
us. When He gives us instructions we need to obey immediately.
 God doesn’t look at people the same way as we do. He doesn’t like people or not like them based on their
skin color, size or where they live. He sees whether they are believers or unbelievers. Believers are clean in
God’s sight because they have believed by faith that Jesus’ blood cleansed them from all sin. If we see people
the way God does we will be praying for the people we know and meet who do not yet believe in Jesus. The
Holy Spirit living in our hearts will enable us to love all people and be an example of how to live a life that
pleases Jesus.
 The Bible teaches us that God does not show favoritism. (Acts 10:34) God loves all people. Does God want
people that are different from us to go to heaven? (Yes) What does this story teach you about accepting others
that are different? God accepts everyone! He has no favorites. No matter who we are, God desires for us to
be saved. In fact, He told us to go into all nations to preach the gospel of salvation. God has a desire for the
whole world to know Him. We cannot think that God does not want to save some one because they are
different from us.
 Life Application--- We can be used by God to reach out to someone right where we are. Do not be afraid to
help someone or share with them about Jesus just because they are different than we are. Maybe we can look
around and find someone who is different than us. Maybe the Lord would have us to become their friend and
share with them the love of Jesus. There are a lot of things that we can learn from people from other countries
like different languages. We just need to remember to pray and ask the Lord to help us to always share the love
of Jesus with everyone. Things we can do:
 DON'T pre-judge people. Get to know them as individuals before you decide whether or not you like them.
 TREAT people the way you want them to treat you.
 STAND UP for people who are being treated with prejudice. Don't go along with the crowd when people
are being unfair to someone.
 LEARN about other cultures, countries, and peoples.
 Prayer Time □ Construction paper
□ Pictures of different kinds of people.
