May 5 2016

Dear Ma’am/Sir:

I am writing on behalf of the Darul Firdaus lita’leemil uloomis shar’iyah (Place of

Firdaus, for teaching Islamic Knowledges). Last March 2016, we registered the said
entity as a non-profit organization, which plans to serve and offer free education to the
poor, underprivileged, homeless children and orphans who cannot afford it. It is geared
in producing huffadh who are skillful and have a sense of personal accountability and of
responsibility to others.

We are planning to rent a building in Maharlika Village, Taguig City to accommodate the
students. In line with this, we are seeking donations for its repairs and improvements
that will be necessary to provide the children with a home and school conducive for
learning. We request you to contribute to this noble cause with any amount you think
right for this new project. Your generosity will be used to educate the poor children and
shape their future the right way. We pray that you will be a part of this great cause.

We assure you that we will never misuse the financial aid sent by our generous donors
and will always open for an audit, anytime. We are more than willing to meet you for
further discussion of the said project.

Thank you for your consideration & time.

Attached herein is the budget proposal and short background of the institution.

Sincerely yours,

Ustadh John Khaldon Bashera

MISSION

The Darul Firdaus lita’leemil uloomis shar’iyah (Place of Firdaus, for teaching Islamic
Knowledges) will provide education to poor, homeless, underprivileged children and
orphans to enable them to understand, contribute to, and succeed in a rapidly changing
society. The institution will develop both the skills and competencies a sound liberal arts
education provides and inculcate knowledge essential for leadership to collaboratively
create change and improve local and global communities.

VISION

We will be the country’s preeminent intellectual and nurturing center for the
underprivileged children and orphans.

EDUCATIONAL APPROACH

We will fulfill our mission by extending Darul Firdaus lita’leemil uloomis shar’iyah
(Place of Firdaus, for teaching Islamic Knowledges) as a nontraditional academic
community, nimble and responsive to the needs of the students:

 Prioritizes the inculcation of Islamic values to develop nobility and leadership.

 Places the Qur’aan and Sunnah at the center of the educational experience.

 Teaches the students how to be proficient in both the English and Arabic language.

 Focuses on and engages with critical contemporary issues.

 Takes full advantage of our Muslim dominated location and connectivity to local
mosques ,madrasah, schools, and organizations.

Short Background:

The Darul Firdaus lita’leemil uloomis shar’iyah (Place of Firdaus, for teaching Islamic
Knowledges) is formerly known as Tahfidhul Qur’an fi Darissalam bil Filibbin (TQDF) that
started operating back in 2009 and has successfully produced 21 huffadh during its
humble beginnings. It now operates as a non-profit organization that is fueled by love
and compassion for the poor, orphans and other underprivileged children. It sees
education as a means to save this neglected sector from the bitter effects of poverty.
The institution offers both English and Arabic courses. It is geared in helping its students
cultivate the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to build strong futures.

It has dormitories inside the school to ensure that core values are extended and instilled
to the students even after class hours. It will promote a culture of educational
excellence, from within a caring and secure Islamic environment enriched with the
values of discipline, mutual care and respect, which extends beyond the school into the
wider community.

Our Boys

Darul Firdaus lita’leemil uloomis shar’iyah (Place of Firdaus, for teaching Islamic
Knowledges) focuses on poor, homeless, orphans or under privileged children ages 10-
20, from different parts of the country. We strive to work with boys who are “on the
edge” of risk; those who are “off- the radar” or unnoticed, disengaged and under
supported; and those who have just begun dabbling in difficulty.

Free Education

The institution will offer free education by offering scholarships and helping out
deserving students in finding their respective sponsors to shell out the P5000.00
monthly budget for each student inclusive of accommodation, food and toiletries.
