DYNASCAN

As a team member of Design Team, I study the needs of engineering application for Special
Purpose Machine. Once the order is released design of machine elements and sub-assembly for SPM
is commenced. The machine elements is then fabricated and assembled in the shop floor. Finally
slight modification if needed may be carried out to give complete shape to SPM to fulfill the
requirement.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Preparing preliminary design concepts.

• Selection of LM blocks, Bearings, Lead screws, Servo motors, spindle, V belt, Gear
Designing etc
• Design all components that go on to form the complete machine
• Prepares part & assembly models of all projects.
• Prepare 2-D/3-D drawings of Assemblies and part models.
• Extracting 2D drawings from 3D solid model for customer approval.
• Designing of Jigs & fixtures.
• Complete documentation.

1. Working as Design Engineer (SPM-Div) for M/s DYNASCAN INSPECTION SYSTEM

Co,, Bangalore, from Sep-2007 to Till Date

Dynascan Inspection Systems Co, established in 1980, they are in to Machine tool
manufacturer, Jig and fixture, Profile Projector, Video Profile Projector, Vision System, CMM
and Tool Presetter measuring machine. The compact, table top projector, designed and
manufactured for the inspection of a wide variety of engineering products like cutting tools,
precision machined parts, pressed components, gears, lead screws and so. Besides having large
customer base in India, Dynascan exports its product to Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Canada
apart from Middle East and far eastern countries.

2. Worked as Development Engineer (R&D) for M/s NEXTECH SOLUTIONS Pvt Ltd.,
Bangalore, Since Aug-2006 to Sep-2007.

NEXTECH Solutions is a decay old company with its Head Quarters at Delhi, They are in to
R&D, Design and Development. My Role and Responsibility are Flow Diagram Study, Layout
drawing, Building indication, Disposition, Elevators, Chain Conveyor, Screw Conveyors, Belt
Conveyors, Indent Cylinder, Steel Construction, Bins, Hopper, and B.O.M. Rice Mill Equipment
Manufacture and others.

Responsibility : Prepare brief report about the customer requirement.

As per the Machine/Fixture layout make detail part drawing for
manufacturing PH600.
Follow up of purchase department and assembly process of the M/c.

Description : The machine is built purely on the basis of the operations to be

Performed on the component (Crank Shaft) provided by the customer.
The machine consists main base & auxiliary base, the fixture part is
mounted on the auxiliary base, the other units such as Head unit, gear
box unit etc is mounted on the auxiliary base. The component is
mounted on the fixture arrangement, different operations such as
drilling, tapping and face milling are measured with an accuracy of
2-4 micron.
2. Customer : M/S MICO BOSCH LTD.
 Duration : 3 Months
Team Size : 3 Members
CAD Tool Used : AutoCad-2000, Solid Work-2008.

Responsibility : Preparing complete fixture layout for Crank Shafts of various sizes.
As per the Fixture layout make detail part drawing for manufacturing.
Follow up of purchase department and assembly process of the M/c
PM600.
Description : The fixture layout is designed with a proper fixture base with a
Provision to mount the fixture on it such that components of different
lengths can be accommodated with ease. Also different variety of
restpads is used to hold the components of different diameters.
3. Customer : M/S HONDA MOTOR CYCLES AND SCOOTERS’S LTD.
Duration : 3 Months
Team Size : 3 Members

Responsibility : Preparing a detailed Component Layout (Crank Case).

Discussion with the customer, and making report.
Make part drawings for manufacturing and release.

Description : The fixture consists of seven actuated cylinders and other parts duly
designed to hold the component firmly, thus held component is
subjected for measuring the operations such as drilling, face milling
and tapping.

4. Customer : M/S BHARAT HEAVY ELECTRICALS LTD.

Duration : 4 Months

Responsibility : Preparing a detailed Component Layout (Copper Coil).

Make part drawings for manufacturing and release.

Description : The challenging part of the project is to hold the lengthy copper coil
Component firmly to perform measuring operation on it, hence a
vacuum cup is utilized to hold the component, this is the first of it’s
kind in the company’s profile the incorporated design yielded the
desired result.
