From detailed rendered sketches to

rough anatomical hand sketches. These were done suring a sketch improvements module, I found pictures of
things I thought were of a good design or just something I wanted to draw.
Aleah THE BRIEF
A device using high-pressure water for maintaining
hard garde landscaping; concrete, stone, etc.

A device using hot air for the killing and removal of

weeds growing amongst hard garden landscaping;
concrete, stone, etc.

TASK ANALYSIS
On the market, currently, there are a few hand-held
pressure washers but all of which have a very low
wattage and therefore a comparibly low pressure to
other industrial solutions. This we feel wouldn’t be a
problem as from our persona research we found our
demographic don’t have a huge interest in garden-
ing and are only interested in maintaining to a mini-
mal level. As well as being small, compact and easy
to store a hand-held device would work better for a
wheelchair user as they are easy to hold and use.

The Speed-Sailor
Initial sketches/models
The project brief was to choose any animal you want and
create an accurate clay bust. I decided on a Fennec fox, a
dessert dwelling fox. After resaerching and making a clay
Fennec I was given the task of destroying and rebuilding
the clay head, every week for a month. each week begun
with a new word to research and ase the clay sculpture
around whikst keeping the characteristics of the orginial
animal. Week 2 the word was ‘Dynamic’ and 3 ‘Architec-
ture’.
The final word was ‘Monolithic’. I looked into large pieces of rock,
I translated this as some ancient Mayan buidings as well as some
more modern architecture, all formed from large blocks of rock.
Movies have a lot of huge structures such as Oblivion, a film which
I love the design behind. I tried to showcase this research in the
final model.
The project brief was to receate a real iron as a CAD model in Rhinocerous.
Started by measuring the iron,making an accurate Orthographic drawing of
as well as sketching random irons to get a feel for the product.

This was a personal furniture prject I
designed and made using sketchup
for the CAD work and through the
manufacturing process I used a lot of
biscuit joints and MDF to create the
chair/stoarge unit for small spaces.
