Future Horizons will be hosting the St. Louis Autism Conference May 4, 2018, with guest speakers
Dr. Temple Grandin, Eustacia Cutler, and Dr. Jed Baker.

St. Louis, MO, March 30, 2018 --(PR.com)-- Temple Grandin, Ph.D. -- chosen by Time magazine as
their “hero” in the “100 Most Influential Persons in the World” (2010) -- is coming to speak on the
autistic brain.

She contends people need to recognize and appreciate “the strengths of brains formed differently” rather
than focusing on the autism diagnosis, its social deficits, or the behaviors some of those with autism may
exhibit.

Dr. Grandin will be joined by her mother, Eustacia Cutler, via Skype. She will offer her view of autism
through personal experience. Ms. Cutler will discuss observations from her award-winning documentaries
on challenged and emotionally disquieted children. She has an impressive and varied background,
including having written A Thorn in My Pocket: Temple Grandin's Mother Tells the Family Story.

Dr. Jed Baker, author of the best-selling The Social Skills Picture Book series, will be focusing on the
subject of managing anxiety and frustration in children, teens, and caregivers.

Dr. Baker's high-profile appearances on numerous television shows include ABC World News, Nightline,
Fox News, The CBS Early Show, and the Discovery Health Channel. He will focus on the subjects of
preventing negative behaviors that are also detailed in his books No More Meltdowns: Positive Strategies
for Managing and Preventing Out-of-Control Behavior; No More Victims: Protecting those with Autism
