such as but not limited to the follows:

2.1 Ref. to instruments lay out drawing(s), vendor dwg's and all related dwg's for
specified instrument.
2.2 Site review for the instrument location.
2.3 Material & tools preparations and mobilization to work area.
2.4 Area site engineer will explain the work steps to the installation crew.
2.5 Commence with work under supervision of crew foreman, area supervisor, and
site engineer.

3 METHOD OF WORK:

Following the above mentioned contract specifications and detailed drawings; the
method of work will be as follows:

3.1 Instruments Installation:

Be sure that the latest AFC Instrument layout , P&I, Piping layout & Vendor
instruction manual for installation and assembly Dwg’s are available at site.

3.1.1 In case of stanchion mounted instruments, ensure that the proper

instrument stanchions have been fabricated and installed considering the
location of relevant tapping point and the accessibility of the location for
maintenance and operation purposes.

3.1.2 Confirm that the stanchion location is selected to avoid being in hazardous
area and to avoid any possible interference with piping, insulation and/or
access walkways.

3.1.3 Ensure that the online isolation valve, flange and / or relevant tapping point
is ready by mechanical contractor for installation of online mounted
instruments and that there is no further pressure test for main process line.

3.1.4 Ensure that the site conditions are suitable for instrument installation and
that there is no further activities may cause any damage to the instrument.

3.1.5 Confirm that the transportation and installation of instruments from storage
area to site will be done by qualified technician and under your supervision.

Dwg’s are available at site.

3.2.2 Confirm that the proper material type, size and quantity are available at
store before commencement of the work.

3.2.3 Check the required fitting as per process hook up drawing against the
available material at store.

3.2.4 Confirm that the transportation of material from storage area to site will be
done by qualified technician -who is assigned for installation- and under

specification.

3.2.8 Ensure that the fixing of piping/ tubing to the steel support will be with the
proper fixing clamps.

3.2.9 Mark with tags the tag number of instrument in each end of pneumatic line
or at the isolation valves and fix it with suitable mean.

A) Main distribution network:

1) Ensure that the scope of mechanical contractor for main air net work is
executed.

2) Mark the location of air distribution headers/ manifolds as per drawing.

3) Fabricate the suitable support for air header/ manifold and assemble the air
header before installation-in case of the header is supplied not assembled.

4) install the online distribution valves in a position as near as possible to

instrument / valve location- in case of instruments/ valves directly fed from
main air line.

B) Air distribution lines:

1) Check the location of isolation valve on the header or the main line and also
the location of instrument / valve.

2) Fabricate with air line with minimum number of bends.

4 JOB SAFETY ANALYSIS

4.1 The job safety analysis (JSA) is a step by step review of a specific job
with the aim to identify the potential hazards associated with each
step of the job and then eliminate, reduce or control the hazards
before the start of the work.
METHOD STATEMENT

Field Instrument Installation

4.2 The JSA will be conducted to ensure that work does not start without
testing the risk assessment through evaluation by the supervisors and
employees who will be involved in the work, at the workface and
immediately prior to commencing work.

4.3 All PPE's shall be used like helmet, goggles, safety footwear, gloves
and safety harness if required.

4.4 All manpower, who are involved in the installation activities shall be
informed of the hazards and risk factors through tool box meetings
prior starting any activity.

4.5 During the installation all electrical equipment shall be properly

earthed, color coded and inspected as per CONTRACTOR
requirements.

4..6 There shall be ongoing housekeeping activities undertaken by Accurate to

ensure that all work areas are clean and tidy.

4.7 A HSE has to be carried out:

4.7.1 Every time critical new work is identified.

4.7.2 At any time when a job requires major procedure modifications.

4.7.3 If there are any significant changes from previous HSE that could
affect the validity of the HSE I.e. changes in weather conditions,
changes in material, equipment, etc.

4.8 HSE steps:

4.8.1 Break job into observable steps.

4.8.2 Identify for each step the potential hazard and potential
accident causes.
