All operation involved in the execution of works will be done in accordance with
Health, Safety and Environmental Manual
The safety officers, supervisors and Foremen will be responsible for ensuring the
safe implementation of the work.

2.1 Ref. to instruments lay out drawing(s), vendor dwg's and all related dwg's for
specified instrument.
2.2 Site review for the instrument location.
2.3 Material & tools preparations and mobilization to work area.
2.4 Area site engineer will explain the work steps to the installation crew.
2.5 Commence with work under supervision of crew foreman, area supervisor, and
site engineer.
3 METHOD OF WORK:
Following the above mentioned contract specifications and detailed drawings; the
method of work will be as follows:
3.1.2 Confirm that the stanchion location is selected to avoid being in hazardous
area and to avoid any possible interference with piping, insulation and/or
access walkways.
3.1.3 Ensure that the online isolation valve, flange and / or relevant tapping point
is ready by mechanical contractor for installation of online mounted
instruments and that there is no further pressure test for main process line.

3.1.5 Confirm that the transportation and installation of instruments from storage
area to site will be done by qualified technician and under your supervision.
3.1.6 Ensure that you are aware of all the precaution of installation which is
mentioned in vendor manuals and/or instrument process hook up.
3.1.8 Ensure that the mounting plate, gasket, bolts washers and nuts are
available according to the vendor installation instruction.
3.1.9 After installation, cover the instrument with suitable protection cover.
(Tarpaulin or others)
3.2.1 Be sure that the latest AFC pneumatic layout and pneumatic Hook Up
Dwg’s are available at site.
3.2.2 Confirm that the proper material type, size and quantity are available at
store before commencement of the work.
3.2.3 Check the required fitting as per process hook up drawing against the
available material at store.
3.2.4 Confirm that the transportation of material from storage area to site will be
done by qualified technician -who is assigned for installation- and under
your supervision.
3.2.5 Arrange a suitable transportation method to transfer the material to the site
- if required.
3.2.6 Ensure that a copy of the pneumatic hook up sheet will be with the
responsible technician.

3.2.8 Ensure that the fixing of piping/ tubing to the steel support will be with the
proper fixing clamps.
3.2.9 Mark with tags the tag number of instrument in each end of pneumatic line
or at the isolation valves and fix it with suitable mean.
1) Ensure that the scope of mechanical contractor for main air net work is
executed.
3) Fabricate the suitable support for air header/ manifold and assemble the air
header before installation-in case of the header is supplied not assembled.
1) Check the location of isolation valve on the header or the main line and also
the location of instrument / valve.
4.1 The job safety analysis (JSA) is a step by step review of a specific job
with the aim to identify the potential hazards associated with each
step of the job and then eliminate, reduce or control the hazards
before the start of the work.

4.3 All PPE's shall be used like helmet, goggles, safety footwear, gloves
and safety harness if required.
4.4 All manpower, who are involved in the installation activities shall be
informed of the hazards and risk factors through tool box meetings
prior starting any activity.
4.7.3 If there are any significant changes from previous HSE that could
affect the validity of the HSE I.e. changes in weather conditions,
changes in material, equipment, etc.
4.8.2 Identify for each step the potential hazard and potential
accident causes.

4.8.4 Supervisor reviews all of the above with workers who are
expected to contribute their own suggestions for ensuring that
work can be conducted safely.
