ABSTRACT

Pulmonary tuberculosis occur in the productive age .The disease is caused

by infection with Mycobacterium tuberculosis acid resistant bacteria .Pulmonary
tuberculosis could occur because internal factor and external .The internal factor
covering age , gender , education , the nutritional status and smoking habit .In this
study just only for smoking habit of respondents .The goal is to find effect of
smoking habit with incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis in health center grujugan
bondowoso .
This study is observational analytic with cross sectional. Total sample 35
peoples, obtained by systematic random sampling and respondent fill
questionnaire. Statistical test use chi square with spss 16. The result at this study is
no effec smoking habit with incidence of pulmonary tuberculosis in health center
grujugan bondowoso, because p = 0,203 ( p>0.05 ). And than for the community
arround health center grujugan is expected to reduce smoking habit in the house,
and in the next study expected also research other factors such as nutritional status
and environmental factor.
