Numeric values in shadowed area define gratings conforming with NAAMM.

Numeric values in shadowed area produce a deflection of ¼” or less under a uniform load of 100 pounds per sq. ft. This deflection
is recommended as the maximum to provide pedestrian comfort. It can be exceeded at the discretion of the engineer.

The carrying capacity of a piece of grating subjected to a concentrated load over only a portion of its width, is determined by
stiffness of both bearing and cross bars and therefore differs with the type of grating used. To determine the final load capacity,
Acero Grill's engineering department should be consulted.

As a general rule selecting grating sizes when a “serrated” surface is desired, is to select the size needed from the “Safe Load
Table” upgrading it to the next higher bearing bar size.
