FINISHING
The carrying capacity of a piece of grating subjected to a concentrated load over only a portion of its width, is determined by
stiffness of both bearing and cross bars and therefore differs with the type of grating used. To determine the final load capacity,
Acero Grill's engineering department should be consulted.
As a general rule selecting grating sizes when a “serrated” surface is desired, is to select the size needed from the “Safe Load
Table” upgrading it to the next higher bearing bar size.
HOW TO SELECT
ELECTRO-FORGED BAR GRATING
This table allows the customer to select the size of the hearing bars and span (type G1 grating) according to the load it is
going to support complyingg with NAAMM recommendation of 1/4” maximun deflection for pedestrian comfort.

The Acero Grill's stair treads are manufactured using the G1 grating type. Special tread sizes could be
manufactured at customer request.
